I don't know, I just can't root to lose, I just don't have the Mulletville gene...

/Quite happy about that, by the way.

Don't get me wrong, I still want them to win. When you're missing your #1 C, the reigning Norris Trophy winner and your next best defenseman the chances of losing are pretty high.

if you want to find a silver lining here you can consider this somewhat of a "blessing" the Sens are a team that may have over achieved last year by some peoples estimations. I think they are becoming a very good team. this will test them and see the true depth in the organization and if they are on the right track.

Yeah, I understand Kenny, I didn't mean to imply you were. I don't want the Flames to lose either (even though big picture it probably does make logical sense).

And losing Spezza and Cowen for the year didn't test them??? :yell:

I get what you're saying though Matty. If all this had to happen any year, I'm glad it's during this shortened season. Let the prospects get their feet wet and see where it goes.

Speedy recovery for the guy and if there's a silver lining, at least it's not career ending.

I would like the Blue Jackets to get sparked and get close to the playoffs, if not in (though unlikely). See something positive.

The Kings? I want the Kings to lose :D

That goes without saying. And I hope they blame Nash and buy him out at the end of the year.

The Islanders will attempt to do their part tonight. However, Biron has a ridiculously incredible record against them. He's like 21-4-2 or something similar during his career against the Islanders. In other words he OWNS them.

@RealBillWatters:
Can R Whitney be a short term fix as a replacement for Karlsson. can do all things Erik does, just not quite as well.

oh my. you can say THAT again.
technically, I can do all of the things Karlsson can do, just not as well

I don't blame Sens fans for seeing intent, just like I don't blame the Pens fans who thought Steckel on Crosby was intentional...

You make good points, Dacks. And I don't really think that Cooke did anything terrible here... he's just too fun to hate on. ;)

But I do blame Pens' fans who think this because they're idiots. Steckel has ZERO reputation for dirty play before or since.

I hate fuckin' hate Cooke...he's a total POS, but there was no intent there....

just as there was no intent from Steckel either....just unfortunate results (understatement I guess) in both cases.

3-4 months. He could be back for the playoffs, no? The NHL runs from October to August nowadays right?

No Spezza, no Karlsson, no Cowen. Then Michalek, Regin, Latendresse and their potential callups are all hurt for now too. No chance.
