shouldnt you be loathing rather than lol'ing those tweets ?
on twitter, Don Brennan from the Ottawa Sun said it was intentional within seconds of the incident
he's the guy that also once tweeted that the Sens should go after Sidney Crosbys knee
it happens all the time
/if they want to bring in a rule to stop that move then im ok with it
shouldnt you be loathing rather than lol'ing those tweets ?
My problem with it is this, do we really not see an issue with a guy lifting his skate that high off of the ice, especially with the intent of that skate coming down hard? The only time your skate should come that high off the ice is when you're hopping over the boards.
Saying, other people do it seems silly to me. People merge without signaling, roll through stop signs, cut people off all the time. Does that mean these things aren't dangerous?

you seriously gonna go there?
what Matt cooke did is taught ... this is how you tie up a guy or put him off balance in todays "interference free" NHL ... 5 years ago, a guy would have put his stick between Karlssons legs and spun him off balance (that being said Matt cooke would have probably drilled him from behind)
guys raise their knees ... its probably happened a thousand times so far this year ... i dont like cooke ... sure he had his knee up high(-er than the norm) but i think thats more a factor that he himself was offbalance as well not that he intended on laying the skate down on Karlssons achilles
no one really had an issue with guys using their knee up high until Karlsson got his tendon sliced last night ... this shit went unnoticed ... should be interesting if the NHL wants to make it illegal, i dont know what guys are gonna use to take opposition off the puck in a 1v1 battle against the boards anymore
This wasn't my take, but I've heard some people say that Cooke's knee bounced off of Karlsson causing it to come down.
It can obviously be dangerous, but Cooke should be subjected to the same penalties that those in Calgary/Dallas face.

I've seen a lot of different blogs bring up the point about the Kevlar socks(don't know if karlsson was using them)... why don't they just make that shit mandatory equipment. Sounds like a smart move to me
Kevin Bieksa (or 3tard as dash likes to call him)

Sens GM Bryan Murray says Karlsson had "a 70% cut in his achilles." Out three to four months - i.e. likely until next season.
