Yeah, they are out to get this dude. The odds of this happening by chance are nil. Yahoo calculated it at .017% odds when it was six drug tests. Now it is 7.

Yup thats 1 in 588 there are over 2300 active players, so he probably isn't the only guy getting tested that much. It would be interesting to see who the other guys who were selected 5+ times were.

Actually, it's the kind of thing you would expect to happen randomly. Random generates long streaks all the time.

It may be a low chance to happen to 1 specific person individually, however across many sample sizes it's not so crazy. I have no idea how many sample sizes that is, and I have no idea if he was targeted randomly or not. I'm just saying that as far as random goes, the more streaky it is the more likely it's random.

Humans are terrible at recognizing and generating patterns that are actually random.

While true, the benefit of the doubt is erased with the situations surrounding Kaep and Reid. If that makes my ass cynical, so be it. If it were some ordinary player, I'd be much less likely to think of it as suspect.

That's rather deceptive then, if that's the case. And would likely be a violation of the CBA, if it can be proven.

I was thinking more of a wink and a nudge from the NFL, it wouldn't be the first time the NFL was hard headed about something for the sake of pettiness or less than noble motives. I really doubt it's random just knowing the circumstance around Reid- it's not quite into the realm of provable yet, but it's lighting up alarm bells.

All I know is that they use the "random drug test" at my work and my own manager said it's at employer discretion. Random just means it's not some procedural thing where it has to be a certain person one week and a different person a different week. AKA, if they think someone is suspicious, they can choose to test them.

He has posted a few of his testing summons slips on his Twitter account and 320 players a week are tested, so statistically there are quite a few players that get tested a lot(They just aren't crying about it).
