That is about what I expect to hear from you when you realize how flawed it is to base a player's value on stats alone. The NFL isn't fantasy football.

That right there sums up probably 75% of the arguments on this board. Media attention and flashy stats are used by too many here (and far too often, at that) to determine who the "best" players are.

I call it the Shady McCoy effect- he's a good RB for sure, but in a league with very few truly elite backs, the media has built McCoy up to be better than he is, and fantasy football junkies eat that right up because he has immense value in FF. Imo, he's far more valuable in FF than in real football...

I love how our defense has been average-to-crappy over Suh's four years as a Lion, then we get a new DC who transforms the defense into one of the best units in the league, and somehow it was still all Suh who was responsible for the defense being so great.

Sure would have been nice if he hadn't waited until a contract year to put the defense on his back and will us to 11 wins, then, if that's the case...

Please. Suh almost single handedly beat Dallas in the playoffs. He led them to the top ranked D all year. He can't play QB, WR and RB too.

So did Suh single handedly give up 600+ yards of offense to New Orleans and zero punts, while leading the Lions defense from middle of the road to mediocre over his 1st 4 years?

Or does he only take credit if the Lions do something good?

Guess I should have read the rest of the thread before I put my response up, as this pretty much sums up what I said.

Ya man you're so right. Suh became the highest D player in the NFL because he's no good. Great post.

Gets old when you and TPaul tag team like that.

:rolleyes2:

Pffft, Suh. Only good once Austin got here. Mayhew is an idiot for trying to re-sign him then begging Suh to come to his senses when he couldn't. Don't need him.

I would agree with your point if you weren't song that McCoy wasn't that good. It's more stats when they fit your argument. PFF when they help your argument. If both those disagree with your argument use your eyeballs. Then when all else fails finish posts with telling people to own it or just post pictures vaguely corresponding to the conversation.

Well, two wrongs may not make a right, but two rights definitely make a... wait for it... FACT!

I love that he reverts to a 10 year old girl level when he's been had.

Nobody here said Suh isn't any good. Keep up the temper tantrums, though.

Guess you missed the memo. Lions D was stinky until Austin levitated into town.

Yeah, because that is what I said. All I did was ask you who was leading the Lions defense in his 1st 4 years when they were middle of the pack or mediocre?

Suh was here for 5 years. The only thing that changed from 2013 to 2014 is adding James Ihedbigo and Teryl Austin, everyone else returned. You figure out who is responsible for the turn around of the defense from average to elite.

I've answered this a million times, and you guys choose to ignore it. You choose to make a punch line of it. For the 5 years Suh was a Lion, he led all DT's in every major category. He led a shitty bunch of guys and shitty coaches and created an identity in Detroit, something we lacked since Barry retired. Go ahead and shit on it if that's what you need to do.
