They'll talk about bad teams if there was a lot of hype surrounding them or those teams play in a big market or they're so bad that it's easy to make jokes about how bad they are. I remember a lot of Lions jokes during the Millen era. They'll even talk about mediocre teams if there's a player or coach on those teams that stand out as joke worthy (I'm thinking the Cowboys and Dez Bryant's tirade would probably get a few laughs). They just won't talk about boring teams that aren't relevant enough to be joked about.
