Christian McCaffrey is a cinch to break Barrry Sander's record for all purpose years - as a Stanford sophomore -this season - quite a story. What a season for the young McCaffrey.

He is much faster and more elusive, but definitely shorter than Eddie Mac. What I know - there are 4 Eddie Mac kids one is playing a Duke right now - Christian is at Stanford - the youngest kid is a QB and a freshman in HS at Valor - supposedly he will be the best of the litter.

He also has a son at Duke that plays wr had around 500 yds and 4 td's I believe. I'm not sold on Christian McCaffrey doing much at the NFL level. Maybe special teams and a 3rd down back. He is fun to watch though.

I could see McCaffery being a Darren Sproles type player. He won't be your 3-down player at the RB position but he is a guy that you work to find touches throughout the game because he is that dynamic that he can take it for a big play at any point.

I think you can do that, but you have to sign them prior to the next draft - and it gives the player all the negotiating leverage because he can sign with you, or do into the draft again. I don't know what the rookie wage scale does to this, but it figures in as well.

First off a player has to declare for the NFL Draft if still in school or be out of school and 2 years removed from HS.
If this were the case , teams would be drafting Andrew Luck with a 6th round pick.

Yeah you cannot draft a player that has not declared or does not qualify. There have been players who have tried to put their name in early and so far the college board that decides those things has not budged on allowing somebody to enter early.
