Dont be so quick to label him the 2nd best player ever

Jordan didnt do things on the basketball court that Lebron does

And he sure has shit hasnt had the success Lebron has with much lesser teams (not this particular team of course)
well- as of right now.

LeBron is only 32 years old. Still a LONG way to go.

If/when LeBron finishes off the Celtics that will be 7 straight Finals--- more than MJ made in his entire career.

If he gets to 10 straight Finals- and wins 4-5 of them....theres gonna be an argument

just my opinion of course, but when you carry a team to the NBA Finals that counts Delonte West and Eric Snow as possibly the 2nd best player on the roster, youre in a class by yourself

Just as brutal as we all thought. Cleveland didn't even play particularly well and they still crushed them. Match ups matter. Fucking Wizards. They don't blow it in game 2 and 5, maybe we could have gotten some halfway decent games over the next 2 weeks

agreed. the Wiz would've been a MUCH better match up...

Lebron will have an argument if he wins another ring or 2 but he hasn't caught MJ yet. He's top 5 though.6

Irving was transferring in and would help bring St. Patrick a state title, the coach told Plummer. But when he first spotted Irving in the hallway, Plummer froze.

Irving was wearing an untucked school uniform that was two sizes too big. He had on a mismatched vest over his button-up that was rolled up to his elbows, and on his left wrist were two separate G-Shock watches.

"You gotta be kidding me," Plummer said under his breath.

Plummer escorted Irving to the school gymnasium for second period gym class to meet his new teammates.

"He didn't have facial hair, had a big head—he just looked like a squirrel," teammate Christopher Gibson says. "We called him Squirrel Boy."

"This is Kyrie. He scored over 1,000 points at Montclair Kimberley Academy in two seasons. Let's welcome him."

Most of his new teammates shrugged. St. Patrick was a top basketball school, and that year's team included the No. 1 rising sophomore in the country, future Charlotte Hornet Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and five more future Division I players. Others were indignant.

he players changed into school-issued gray short shorts and green T-shirts and threw on sneakers, then picked two teams. During the pickup game, Irving was shy initially and deferred when the ball came to him. Soon he was pinned in on the baseline. He threw the ball through his defender's legs, ran after it, then pulled the ball back to create space and shoot.

"It was amazing," Gibson says. Later, down the court, Irving did something similar, turning his man inside out. "He was doing stuff we'd never seen before."

BOSTON is just not a very good team.
They caught a lucky break in round one with Rondo, or they would have likely been swept by the #8.

And Washington is just a cursed sporting town destined to have mediocre teams losing in the 1st/2nd round.
That city is 0 for 86 in its last 86 attempts to make a conference finals in any of its sports.

The Celtics would have been swept by the Rockets, Clippers, Spurs, and Warriors.
They probably would have lost to the Thunder, Jazz, and Grizzlies.

This is not so much about Lebron....as it is about how weak the Eastern conference contenders are every year.
Other than the short-lived Celtics teams, there has never been a true contender in the East for Lebron.

And they were honestly never really good at the same time...Boston peaked before Lebron grew up a bit.

Cavs are a combined 33-4 in the East over the last 3 post-seasons.

9-0 thisyear .

After going 12-2, 12-2 the last 2 years----- it would be pretty freaking legendary for them to go 12-0 if they could pull it off.

Nope. They will stay the same or get better. Everyone wants to see the two best teams play with some of the best players in the world on the same court. You STILL dont realize this is how it has ALWAYS been. Wtf are you talking about lol

I agree to a point. I think that basketball fans (most of the folks on here) will definitely be watching no matter what because basketball fans are typically fans of the game before fans of their own teams.

But casual fans and bandwagon fans will likely lose interest if there isn't a little more variety though.

The Bulls offered Butler and a 2nd rounder for Russell, Deng, and the 28th pick? I'd do that in a second. C'mon, Magic!!!

Hadn't heard this one. Is there a link?

Very tough series and winning 4 of 7 are completely different. Who the fuck is talking about giving the Warriors a tough series?

I predicted the Warriors in 6. Point is once durant went for the warriors, the spurs chances of making the finals went down the toilet.

Gotta disagree here. Getting back to the finals got a whole lot harder when KD went to the Warriors, but it didn't end their chances. The Spurs defend the perimeter well, which is a must vs. the Warriors and they have the ability with Aldridge and Gasol to attack the Warriors in the paint which is the one place they are truly vulnerable.

Having Pop as their coach helps a lot too.

I think the Warriors probably still win the series, but it would be far from a sure thing.

So since the 90-91 season, only 9 different franchises have won a title, and you can actually take it all the way back to '84, and it'll still be the same 9 franchises.

And 4 of those franchises have only won 1 title, so far. All the rest were split between the Lakers (5), Bulls(6), Spurs(4) Heat(3) and Rockets(2).

6-0 is better than LeBron's record. And the competition isn't even close.

I still think it goes 6 if Leonard is back for game 3
