Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you part of the people who have been bitching about the playoffs?

What's your point? I clearly stated several times that these series been god awful for a number of weeks now

Once again I'm not saying the Spurs wouldn't provide a challenge. It is obviously a 6 or 7 game series had Kawhi been healthy but that wasn't my point.

People are bitching because the playoffs been terrible. If the playoffs were actually competitive and teams were actually pushing the Cavs and Warriors then the bitching would be down significantly. Watching the Warriors/Cavs walk to the conference finals isn't very fun. Also doesn't help that most of the other series not involving the Cavs/Warriors been pretty shitty as well. Last year the playoffs were much better. This year it has just been bad.

I agree, this year the leadup to the finals has sucked. But you were making sweeping claims about how the league as a whole sucks because it has 2-3 teams with any chance. And my point is just that it's almost always this way. Or at least it's like this more than it's not.

I think it was usually 4-5 teams at least prior to joining the Heat. I would say most years since MJ retired from the Bulls after winning the title in 98, we had about 4-5 teams who could make the finals up until Lebron went to Miami. From that point on we only had 1 team who could make the finals in the East but at least those teams still pushed the Heat. Outside of the Raptors last year, the cavs never been pushed in any other series in the east since Lebron came back to Cleveland.

So since the 90-91 season, only 9 different franchises have won a title, and you can actually take it all the way back to '84, and it'll still be the same 9 franchises.

Well I didnt mean just recently bc just recently before Cavs-Warriors it has been somewhat different. Throughout history it is the same old thing...2 legit teams maybe 3 or 4. 2 or even one franchise dominated a decade or 5+ years

I was agreeing you

Only 9 teams since the mid 80s have one a title.

and the Nets played back to back and lost, the Pacers were always in the thick of things and then lost in 2000, the Jazz were heavy west favorites and lost twice to the Bulls in 97 and again in 98. Blazers lost twice in 3 years, Knicks were in the thick of things mid to late 90s and lost in 94 and 99.

The league has always been super top heavy, and besides 2011, Idr any big underdog recently making the finals and actually winning.

Wait weren't people saying the Eastern Conference has "improved?" Where is this improvement exactly??

Yup -- it isn't nearly as competitive as the WCF -- right ?

The Bulls offered Butler and a 2nd rounder for Russell, Deng, and the 28th pick? I'd do that in a second. C'mon, Magic!!!

Where are you seeing this?

Just as brutal as we all thought. Cleveland didn't even play particularly well and they still crushed them. Match ups matter. Fucking Wizards. They don't blow it in game 2 and 5, maybe we could have gotten some halfway decent games over the next 2 weeks
