Carlos Rogers - DB - 49ers
Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole "keeps hearing" the 49ers "don't want to keep" CB Carlos Rogers.
Rogers was considered a potential cap casualty when the offseason began, but many figured he was a "lock" to keep his spot once $1.25 million of his $5.5 million 2013 salary became guaranteed on April 1. Following the acquisition of Eric Wright on Friday, all three of Rogers, Wright, and Nnamdi Asomugha will have to compete to earn their places on the 53-man roster.

eric wright is like 40 now, right?
Wright, who is a San Francisco native, signed a five-year, $37.5 million deal with the Buccaneers last year. He was suspended for four games during the season for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. He tested positive for Adderall, he said at the time. His contract recently was renegotiated, and the 49ers are on the hook for $1.5 million this season.

49ers on the hook????
Adderall? continuing our rivalry with Seattle?
No money is guaranteed in that contract. He still has to pass a physical and make the roster.
Any possibility they could be shopping Rodgers?

looking ahead to possibly cutting Rogers...................someone has to cover those quick, shifty, slot receivers? saving cap on Rogers can be understood, but not if it means dropping off at NB? even if Rogers wasn't great at it, we can't drop off?
