The result went how I wanted it as a Heat fan. Had Miami blew Indiana out, I would be worried that they would get complacent again in game 3, which is their natural tendency. Hats off to Lance Stephenson; for someone who was merely talking shit off the bench 3 years ago, he's been steadily becoming the biggest thorn in the Heat' ass.

Miami can't give Indiana so many second chance opportunities, and they need to stop being so complacent and lackadaisical. Indiana likes to play physical with Miami, but it's David West with a swollen eye, Lance Stephenson and Hibbert are limping, and Paul George blacked out during the game - be careful what you wish for, Pacers.

Also, UD wasn't that great tonight. But he certainly does a better job on the front rotation than Battier. This is going to be a tough physical series, and I'll take a combo of Birdman, UD and Bosh (who else is there? and it's sad that I have to ask that about someone who makes the same amount of money as Lebron).

Cole was the best defender on Lance tonight as he played him in his jersey

2011 ECF - Bulls win Game 1... Heat win next 4
2012 Finals - Thunder win Game 1... Heat win next 4
2013 2nd Round - Bulls win Game 1... Heat win next 4
2014 ECF - Pacers win Game 1...

Don't matter. This team is not as good as those teams

Heat may not win the next 4 but just as the previous 4 series where they lost game 1, they followed it up with a game 2 victory

This was exactly the kind of game I expected. Once again Bron and Wade don't have their A game but they still do just enough to lift the Heat past a very tough Pacers team. I've said this from the beginning, this is going to be an ugly scrap it out series.

Love watching the high scoring west coast games, but this is my kind of basketball.

Kinda bummed we have to wait until Saturday for game 3, but that guarantees that I get to watch the game in its entirety

Yup. I dot what's with lebrons defense lately. It was bad in game 1 too

And this is a perfect indicator of why steals and blocks are NOT, NOT, NOT a good indication of defensive performance. Looking at the box score you'd think lebron played a masterful defensive game. When in reality he made some good plays, but a lot of lazy ones as well.

I don't think there will ever be a way to quantify defensive performance

Will we see Oden in the next game? I know he got abused by Hibbert in the last game they met, but that cant be the end of the expirement because of the one game. Give the guy a chance to bounce back. We desperately need rebounding if nothing else and he can provide some offensive rebounds.

If Paul George is saying he blacked out, that is a sign of a concussion. His training staff should not have cleared him to play. Are there any reprecussions for teams that dont follow the NBAs rules on concussions? Not saying I want a player to be suspended, just curious if the NBA takes action against a team for that. The Pacers did it the last time the Heat met them in the regular season with Hibbert when Lebron got him across the chin.

just like i said the Indiana Pacers would LOSE HOME COURT ADVANTAGE they just did in Game 2.
the PACERS will LOSE GAME 3 and 4 IN MIAMI.
The SERIES NOW BELONGS TO THE HEAT--ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS STICK WITH THEIR BIG LINE UP--- IT WAS THE SMALL LINE UP THAT COST The HEAT to LOSE Game 1.
HASLEM PLAYED MORE MINUTES and BETTER DEFENSIVE ROTATIONS WERE USED WORDS and the TRUTH

Spo said since game 1 that oden would not be available until sometime next week because he is working his way back from a back injury.

Heat did what champions do...they responded to even the series...they solved the Hibbert mismatch last night...I still think IND in 7, but that could change over the next few days in So. Beach.

I thought it was called pretty fair myself. :noidea:

There was some physical no-calls that you expect in the playoffs.

It was one of the more fairly called games between these 2 teams.

I kind of think the no calls were a way of the refs telling the players to stop flopping.

PACERS WILL LOSE GAME 3 and 4

God you feel like Indy has dominated two games, and yet they lose homecourt. Be interesting to see how the rest of the series plays out.

HOCKEY 878---I CAN ASSURE YOU The PACERS WILL LOSE GAME 3--STRAIGHT UP -and the series
PREVIOUSLY ,I STATED THEY WILL LOSE HOME COURT and they DID JUST THAT in GAME 2.
Game 3 and 4,is the KEY to the SERIES.
Game 3 belongs to the HEAT--.I will put a bundle on it straight up to back it up.i put money on the Heat already to win the series it's win or go home,i will take the loss if they lose.it's only one game not the series.
