Game Thread: Eastern Conference Finals: Miami Heat VS Indiana Pacers

The good news for the Heat is that the Pacers played about as well as they are capable of and while this isn't the Heat's worst outing, they can definitely a whole lot better.


The bad news for the Heat is that this is the Indiana team that they did not want to see.

Hill won't come close to having another shooting night like this. I say if I'm the Heat, let him shoot.
Pacers were sharp all game. Clearly deserve to win.
I'll bet by the end of the series though, the Pacers won't play a better game than this.
This isn't our first rodeo. We might lose Tuesday, but the game won't be played anything like this.

But, his supporting cast was pathetic today.

Not really. Wade had 20 which is his normal and Bird/Allen combined for 26. The issue tonight was Bosh, # of wide open 3's we missed, and the ft differential. Not winning in this league when your opponent shoots 22 more free throws than you unless you plan to hit about 15 3's

1 game doesn't make a series. Indiana starters played out of their mind, they got all the calls, and Miami shot poorly from 3.

I highly doubt Indy shoots 22 more fts in game 2, all of their starters has 13 or more points, and they shoot 55% from the field

Yeah, this game was a bit of an aberration because the Pacers aren't as good offensively as they looked. Regardless of who wins, the rest of the series will likely be played with both teams scoring in 80's to low 90's. If there is another game or 2 where a team scores over 100, it'll be the Heat.
