Great defensive play by Justin Schultz.

/Not sure I've ever seen that written before. :D

Honestly? He's been good. I hope they resign him - at a discount, of course.

He's does look better in Pittsburgh, I'll give you that.

/It likely helps that he went from the outhouse to the penthouse.

I didn't watch him ever in Edmonton, but it seems like a reduced role and the game the Pens play suits his style. Our D doesn't look great when hemmed in by a big team like the Rangers or the Caps. But when the goal is to collect the puck and transition to offense as quickly as possible, guys like Schultz look a lot better.

Same thing with Daley. Outcast from Chicago, and he was our second best D down the stretch. Really a shame he's gone.

Then he shouldn't have committed to hitting a player that didn't have the puck? :noidea: By rule, yes, interference. Because, like, hitting a guy without the puck is the definition of interference... as far as I know there's no caveat in the rulebook about the incoming pass.

The pass was on its way when he committed to the hit. It was perfectly timed if the pass was good. It wasn't.

For the record, what Brayden Coburn just did to Malkin (that wasn't called) that was interference.

Arliss Loveless makes it 3-2.

At least that's who I see whenever I see Brian Boyle

It'll take 7.

Pens big boys showed up, Lightning finally turned it on and Murray was outstanding. What a game.

Well they finally finished the Bolts off in a game where they let them back in it.

Game 7, as a Pens fan I hope they blow out the Bolts early, as a hockey fan I hope it goes 4 overtimes tied 2-2 after regulation.

Murrays best game this series, by far. In the Caps series he was a difference maker, tonight he found that again. He still has that lateral/overcommitting issue. Bolts know it too, they're pushing for east/west.

The Rust goal was probably the first time Hedman did not catch up to a forward on a break.

Gonna watch that Sid goal a dozen times over...the way he changed speeds, man. Basically dummies the defense into being flat footed while he waited for a teammate to tag up, then just powered right by Stralman.

If I remember correctly the last time the Penguins won a game facing elimination was in the beach ball series where they won game 4 and 5 then lost game 6.

Holy shit...really? Wow. That's crazy. But I think you're right. 2015-lost game 5; 2014-lost 3-1 lead in 7; 2013-lost in sweep; 2012 was the Flyers series. I think it fits this team though. Resilience is the theme of the season.

Unlike years past I actually feel good about this team in game 7. Predict Malkin will shine in it.
