The system was fine but they didn't seem to care enough to make or receive a pass. The point of Boucher's system is to turn offense into defense quickly. This won't happen with any system if you giving it the ole!! like Zack Smith did on the goal, or if you can't be bothered to handle a 6 foot pass. Just a terrible performance and I hope Boucher rips them for it.

As an aside, there has been a shit tonne of talk about Boucher's system but the Pens played pretty damn structured D most of the time themselves. Sullivan has done an excellent job implementing a scheme that can work with different personnel. They're not exactly freewheeling out there most of the time.

I think it was Edzo, but after the Pens scored, someone in the broadcast team said, "Now the Sens are going to start coming." Okay, but why wait until they're down? And that's exactly what did happen. They finally started to attack at all after Kessel's goal.
