So while I agree to let the play finish if they arent sure on it being a fumble.
What I disagree with is automatically calling it a fumble, because they didnt blow the play dead.
Let it play out.
Then huddle & discuss if they really think it is a fumble or down & call it the way they think.
That way if it is inconclusive it goes to what they actually thought.
The inconclusive rule can make a call worse if they just let it go & let replay figure it out.

Now this play is obvious & I feel the official call on the field should have been down by contact, even though they let the play continue.
