The extension talk is probably our bullshit to counter other teams bullshit about interest in Mariota.

Who has a Porsche? Our receivers are Riley Cooper, Josh Huff and Jordan Mathews. Our o-line, well, we don't even know who our right guard is and our left side is approaching 35.

This thing looks more like a souped up Fiero.
Check out our O rank the last couple years with nobody special at QB.

True, but we used to have guys like Maclin and Jackson catching passes. We better reload there in this draft or I think we are going to see a dropoff...

Biggest scaredy-cat I've ever seen in the NFL. I am so glad us Rams fans don't have to watch this guy be average at best anymore.
There it is! A Rams fan who has watched the guy the last few years gives it to us straight.

As another poster put it, Sam has plenty of dough. You are about to witness a QB with poor field vision that holds onto the ball too long and isn't as accurate as people think. His mobility was never great, but now he's had 2 knee surgeries. Can't make plays on the run and needs a perfect pocket. He loves to dink and dunk - the 7 yard pass is his best friend. If Chip can get him to get rid of the ball in under 3 seconds you might have a chance, otherwise he's just an average QB with a lot of money.

Honestly, he is the best QB out there with the red jersey on during training camp.

Maybe it was the NFC West style defenses that owned him? He had a few good games, but man... a lot of games where HE and the fans were just shaking their heads.

If you think Foles is the answer you basically just described why he is no longer here.

Bradford is a rich man. He'll call the shots on where he plays in any contract extension with a no-trade clause to any team he doesn't want to play for. Andrew Luck is a established superstar in the NFL. He hasn't led the Colts to the SB after 3 years in the league. You guys believe a rookie QB or Bradford can do more than Luck?

Absolutely. Luck didn't win because he had no offensive weapons around him and no offensive scheme.

Interesting report out of Cleveland: Browns still want Bradford, but there is bad blood between his agent and the team. The agent, Tom Condon, also represented Brady Quinn and Tim Couch and thinks that Cleveland is where QBs go to die. He's not wrong. But hopefully we can unload this sucker to Cleveland before he retires.

Cleveland has an all new regime. Condon has no history with these guys.

All new regime, but as incompetent as ever. And Condon apparently already has bad blood with them over Jordan Cameron, who was his client.

I'm pissed dude, been pissed since we traded for this Gimp! We gave up a 2nd rd pick and Foles for a Gimp that is a quitter...i can't swallow that one. if the reason was to move him for MM I get it, but for us to hitch our future to??? Makes me sick.

Well, its not like Foles is that great. I still maintain that Foles = Sanchez. Bradford may be greater than Foles. Therefore the downside of this deal is that you end up with Sanchez starting which is no worse than Foles. Bradford give a potential upside. This trade is either Drew Brees or Dante Culpepper circa 2006. Time will tell. You may not be sold on Bradford (I know I am not), but there really is no downside to this deal other than several million dollars which they probably wouldn't have spent anyways. Only the upside that could be Brees like.

Never said Foles was the answer did I? Just glad to be rid of Bradford and his $16 million contract. I'll take Foles at $1.45 million ALL DAY and use that other money elsewhere + a 2nd rounder in 2016 IF Bradford starts 8 games this year... It's a no-brainer. We are a ground and pound team with a defense that's is improving and about to be really good. All we need Foles to do is make good decisions and not turn it over. NO need to pay Bradford that money and do average work + barely be able to stay on the field.

Hell we beat Seattle and Denver last year with Kellen Clemens. If Foles can find some of his magic of 2013-14 when he had 27 TDs and 2 INTs, we'll be ok.

I think its funny as hell that teams think they can take a QB that played very well in one system, put him in a different system that has entirely different procedures, and expect the same results. No one else in the league is doing what the Eagles are doing offensively, so its a bit of a projection to say what a player like Foles will do in St. Louis and what Bradford will do in Philly.

I still wouldn't be surprised if Sanchez is the Eagles opening day starter as Bradford has a lot of work to do to learn this offense.

What's really funny is Chip Kelly and his "group" of current QBs.

Pretty sure Foles can come in and hand the ball off and make some passes. If not, he's only making $1.45 million so i'm not really sweating it.

Foles is a pretty good QB. I would not be at all surprised if he has good success in St. Louis. I consider this to be a good trade trade of two guys that needed a bit of a change in scenery. I think Chip was a little down on Foles and considering giving Sanchez a shot over him this year. Hopefully it works out well for both.

I'm hoping that this talk of extension is just talk at this moment. It makes ZERO sense to extend him now when there's mixed opinions on if he'll be the Week 1 starter.

It all comes down to terms. Bradford will want a contract that pays him like a stud if that is what he turns out to be. The Eagles will want a contract that doesn't pay him if he can't stay on the field. They could wait and see, or design a contract that addresses the concerns of both sides.

What you said is ideal, my fear is they will dole out a wack of guaranteed money for a guy that hasn't done anything to earn it yet. I hope you're right DPD - it shouldn't matter if he plays and stays healthy this year and makes the Pro Bowl without a new deal in place; the Eagles should insist on a deal that will be team-friendly first because of his tedious history. Hopefully Chip is smart enough to do that.

But If Sanchez has to play significant amount of time because Bradford is injured again, we are a mediocre at best team who might or might not get in the playoffs, but has no real shot at a SB.

Just like any of the teams with their backup.

Big time discount on a potentially really good QB. They usually cost 20 million. He could only cost us closer to 10.

They won't do that. He's already slated for 13 million this year. That's as big as any signing bonus he could hope for at this point.
