now Wentz is garbage. lol. no bias there. The difference is the defense.

Yes Wentz is garbage. I have been saying that all along. He has no leadership skills and that is why teams do not respond to him.

Why is the defense playing so differently? Point to it. Let’s evaluate the games…

jax scored 22 and turned it over once. Solid outing for the defense. Notice in the third quarter how we didn’t score on offense for about 21 minutes and Wentz had two picks, that is when the Jags offense looked good. That is because defenses get tired when the offense doesn’t produces drive with more than 6 plays. Also notice that JAX got a TD on an 11 yard drive because of a pick and a FG on a 19 yard drive. This makes defenses look bad but it is really the offense.

Detroit looked really bad but let’s look. Our first five possessions consisted of 4 3&outs and a safety. How can the defense do anything when the offense can’t give them a break? We were down 22-0 before the offense got a first down. Overall bad defense but the offense can take some blame.

PHI1 the defense was not horrible. The Eagles scored 24 but Wentz did not score until there was less than 2 minutes in the game. Wentz also had a fumble that led to a short 24 yard TD.

DAL scored 25 While Wentz threw 2 picks. Wentz scored 10. This was not a great defensive performance but 10 points should never win a game.

Titans scored 21 points while Wentz threw a pick and fumbled three times. The interception was inexcusable and cost us the game. 21 points is a solid defensive outing.

Bears only scored 7…luckily we managed 12 with our QB throwing for less than 100 yards. The defense also forced two turnovers.

TBH, I am not sure how you come to the conclusion the defense is playing that much better now. Since TH has been in, the defense has given up 19 a game. If you take out the lone poor performance of defense gave up just under 20 per game with Wentz. Those are the facts. What is your next excuse?

Forced 4 turnovers against the best team in the league. Only gave up 20 points and forced 1 turnover to the 2nd best team in the league and played well enough to win the game. Held a HOF QB in Rodgers to under 250 total yards of total offense. The Colts game was against a bad QB, so that doesnt really count. The defense has played better the last 4 games. No excuse.

Hey if RR turns to TH, then I will get behind it but it does a total 180 on what he and Turner did in the offseason scouting Wentz. Giving up draft picks and paying his salary to get this guy. If he is having 2nd thoughts about the trade, he made fine. If RR thinks we have the best chance to win with TH, then fine Let's see how we finish.

I said in the beginning of the season that we can win. We might not get to my original 11-win projection, but I will be fine with a 9- or 10-win season. The Eagles win changes the path. Yes, I think we can beat the Giants this year.

The offense controlled the ball for over 40 minutes , scored the most points on the season , and kept the defense rested

You can make that claim all you want but it doesn’t change the facts. The defense played one truly bad game this season. Wentz scored 6 points against the Eagles. So even if the defense only gave up 20, we still lose. Aaron Rodgers is only throwing for 230 yards per game this season.

So you back the coach even when he is wrong. Well done you free-thinker.

If we win, it will be because Wentz is on the bench.

I route for my team to win, no matter who is playing.

The defense and running game won it.

17 of 29 for 211 yards, no scores and pick. The only reason it was a double digit win was because of the pick 6.

There is an old adage in sports....a starter doesn't lose his job to injury.

Wentz hasn't been bad at all this season. 3 times he has thrown for over 300 yards and look at their numbers....

This board doesn't want to hear that. They already made up their minds that CW sucks. Is it so true a starter doesn't lose his job b/c of injury. I want Wentz but I have no idea what RR is going to do. We dont know if CW is 100% healthy yet.

If Heinicke has a bad game and they lose....he should be benched when Wentz Is ready.

Heinicke is a good backup but not a guy you want starting if the starter is available....just my humble opinion

This I agree with. And when we get a starting caliber QB, they should play. Unfortunately, this team still doesn't have a starting caliber QB, unless Howell some how develops into one. What they do have, however, is a backup QB that the team seems to rally behind. Ride that horse until she drops.

He hasn't been bad at all, but as a coach you have to be able to read the room. TH has the locker room right now.
