That is the thing. The Eagles still have an amazing front 7 but Schwartz is not devising a plan to at least help. This is not new though....Schwartz was horrible before this season started. He just happens to be more exposed this year.

how so?! the eagles were 4th in points allowed last year and 1st against the run. even with the massive problems piling up this year, they are still 12th in points allowed. there's nothing he can do with basically a mediocre college secondary. and saying mediocre might be nice.

I believe it is safe to say that the Eagle’s season is officially over. Better luck next year with healthy running backs, and some good running backs hopefully, and a healthy defense. With who they have to play the rest of the season and with the display here today, I cannot see them winning anymore games. Cleveland fans suffered and now it is our turn.

When you have a front 7 as good as the Eagles there is no excuse for the poor scheme. The Eagles are forced to play zone a lot because of injuries. I get there but in order for the zone to be successful you need to get pressure because every zone has holes. The Eagles do not generate pressure because of the Schwartz scheme because he does not blitz. When he does blitz it is the same type and easily picked up. On top of that the rush is basic vanilla. I rarely see stunts or anything like that. The same play calls work against this defense he has not adjusted to it. Most teams are keeping an extra blocker in to stop the Eagles pass rush.

Yes I get that there are injuries but a team like the Giants should not be able to score on every single possession. I don't care how bad the defense is.

midgets have abut 350 yards in the 1st half!! I know we have injuries,but even Howie Long (and that includes his son), said the biggest problem on D is we can't tackle.

Top 5 draft pick? 2 2nds. Missing a 3rd round pick. Maybe Howie can do his magic. We need better scouting though, since our mid round picks last draft aren't dong much.

i agree he's boring as hell with his scheme's and there isn't much going on. the front isn't as good as it was though, and that's before injuries. no jernigan. ngata is crap. bennett and long are getting too old.

just saying.. a new coordinator isn't going to improve much, if anything at all. as bad as the giants are, they are going to put up some points. we're one of the few teams who held them to their low mark this year (13) and as insanely bad as they looked in the 1st half.. 19 isn't the end of the world. if they hold the giants to 29 or less, this team with this offense at home SHOULD beat them.
