Reading "Battle Cry of Freedom" for the first time...WOW

Just wrapped up "What Hath God Wrought" as well. They are part of the Oxford American History series. Some amazing writing. Not sure if you have read either but I highly recommend it. Also:

World War I book: "A World Undone"

Revolutionary War book: "The British Are Coming: The War for America"

Yeah, Battle Cry of Freedom is up your alley as it talks about the politics leading up to the Civil War. You would eat it up. Talks about the split of the Democrat party under Buchanon, and the birth of the Republican party under Lincoln. I am at the part where Lincoln just won the election. Incredible!
