Yeah, I was sorry to see Kyle Smith go.

Was it me or did the Skins play man or at least zone match today?

It looked like they had BSJ on an island. I sure hope they are dumbing things down for those guys back there.

It also looked like they were trying to help Fuller by using McCain to bracket whoever he was covering, but McCain seemed to be late a late.

I dont have access to the all 22 so don't hold me to that. Even if I did my football expertise might not be enough to identify what was really working and what changes were made.

BTW duke, Jimmy G didn't make me wish we had him instead of Wentz. Carson will have good games but he will have games where he lays an egg. Jimmy G has played for Belichek and Kyle Shanahan ... much different than what we have here.

No i don't have it either but often you can tell they are playing straight zone because the DB is closing on the play (hopefully) after the pass. Man is much harder play unless you are really athletic. I like man but you have to have the guys to play it..

You are right in one aspect. Maybe it dumbs it down enough that they just cover their assignment.

Wince is wince , here in Philly they say he was the same guy yesterday , a guy who can’t climb the pocket

my issue with the LOS is it has to be good , weakening it hurts you if you have a qb who isn’t a superstar, or a back 7 that isn’t top notch

we have weakened 2 strengths and are trending to continue this again this off season .

the personnel choices make my head itch . I don’t get it

:pound::pound::pound::pound:LMAO!!! Wish I had a thousand dollars on that bet you weren't coming back. Who nailed that one when I said you'll beb back after Wentz's first bad game. Bullseye.

You did this same thing a year ago when most here challenged your thoughts on FA. You got pissed and disappeared for almost a year.

Remember duke, this is a forum. You post your opinion right or wrong. Some weeks you are going to be right and some weeks you are going to be wrong. I like the forum, I don't agree with dad and others on everything and they don't always agree with me. That's okay. Grow a pair and quit having a hissy fit. Be like dean .... he doesn't get mad and leave when a lot of folks disagree with him. You would be one of them.

We have lost a lot of good people on this forum so we ware better off having you. I'll let you know if you are a dick. Because I didn't agree with you on everything doesn't mean I was being mean. I'll eat my share of crow when I deserve to.

For the record I never supported the hiring of RR, I did support the hiring of JDR and am mystified how a guy who was so successful as a DC has done so poorly here. I wasn't for the group of Marty's and I was not for hiring every fucking ex-Panther. I do believe that there is a toxic ownership that still effects the coaching staff and the team on the field.

Eat your spinach brother, if you have an opinion stop getting upset.

So to your post .... Wentz sucked today but the Oline sucked more. Norwell, Schweitzer and were horrendous. When Wentz did a couple (emphasize a couple) good things receivers dropped the ball. I would say at this point Wentz has been both good and bad but that is what the his history says.

dad was the biggest supporter of Scherff. I loved Scherff but thought it was too much money for a guard. I was not for letting Flowers go. I was born in Philadelphia and my dad lived right where Temple Univ is. You couldn't find a bigger Ironman fan than me but reports are he wanted out. Settle is getting little playing time in Buffalo. I liked what I saw of Martin but he was gone almost as fast as Fitz last year. The defense has be baffled. Remember the origination has invested heavily in this defense. Hard to tell though. The last two years everyone said we need more weapons. Now they have them. You can't have everything in one year. I know your feelings about a "real" GM and have always agreed with you. What I told you was Dan wasn't going to hire a guy like that.

My last thought. Participate. I am not always going to agree with you and I might tease you ... tease me back. And above all ... Fuck Dan Snyder.
Lots to unpack here

Yes, you said I would return. However, the reason for my post is incorrect. I said if Dean continues to make remarks directed at me, I would come back. That is what occurred.

You are correct, I left last year but it was for different reasons. I left last year because I was tired of arguing that 2 + 1 = 3. I was being told repeatedly that 2 + 1 = 5. After a while, you give up and move on as it isn't worth your time. While it is a forum as you said, some things are common sense to me. I said 2021 was going to be a bad year for the team and got tired of being criticized for it. Turns out, I was right. To me, I am in your words "mystified" how the fan base/posters didn't see the disaster that was unfolding. I believe fans sometimes simply do not want to see what is in front of them. I believe that is what happened. After saying something a million times, you move on. We can agree to disagree here.

Fast-forward to this year, I was disgusted with a few things: Snyder and Rivera. No need to re-hatch Snyder as I hope we are all aligned? With respect to Rivera, again, I appear to be in the minority with Rivera's vision. Dean and others jumped up and down with the Wentz trade, draft, and free agency approach. I repeatedly said the coaching staff needed to be shaken up, Wentz was a mistake, and the free agency game plan made no sense. To your point, we all have opinions; however, after a while, I said "screw it" and moved on.

Funny you mention Dean. We could not be more different, and that is fine. With no disrespect, Dean takes a duty-bound, loyal, cheerleading approach. He always has an explanation when things go south and truly believes in and supports the coaches and players. Any poster who shows discouragement or is wavering in their support is not viewed as a dedicated fan to him; or at least I was not a true fan in his eyes. He likes to take victory laps prematurely and will never directly blame Wentz for Rivera for errors and mistakes. He has that right and I am not trying to discredit or insult him.

I am more of an analytical fan and try to support my conclusions with data and history. I do not believe in being "loyal" to coaches and call a spade a spade. This obviously irritates others. I do not support Rivera, his coaches, or Wentz. No need to go down that path. To me, this whole trainwreck was obvious from the get go and I said that. I am no prophet, but to me, the Wentz trade was the wrong move and I believe fans are starting to see that. As I said, if he has not worked out other places, why would he magically change and work out here? I never got an answer.

Interestingly enough, you said that we all have opinions and I need to stop having a hissy fit. However, when I demonstrate cognitive liberty and do not get on board with the Rivera and Wentz train...I am told to "get out". I was literally told to leave multiple times because was not a true fan. I believe that is a first for this forum. As such, I left.

Hopefully, we can all agree that the organization needs to be cleansed: from Snyder, down to the coaches and underperforming players. No need to respond back.

That is non sense and you know it. You compared last years team to this years team which is ridiculous. Other than yesterday this years offense will move the ball. Their will be growing pains but Wentz, be will be better than Ryan this year. You can knock the team all you want. IF we get the oline solved this will be a successful offense this year. Also, Turner is coming to have some growing pains this year. Its only been 3 games. Im not burying him right now.

What is non-sense? Provide specific examples please.

I never said the offense would not move the ball. You continue to revert back to YOUR talking points. I said earlier that the defense was the problem and would be the reason why the team would not succeed. Is that not correct?

I said that Wentz disappears in big games. Is that not correct? Speaking of which, who is now the better QB: Hurts or Wentz? WSH has the 3rd best QB in the division.

I said Rivera is responsible for bringing in the players and must be held accountable for underperforming players. You rightfully called out McCain. Who decided to resign him? Rivera did. Who made the decision to not upgrade the secondary, leave the LB unit alone, and weaken the DLine? Rivera did. Who made the decision to keep most of the underperforming coaches on the team? Rivera did.

Wentz is almost 30 years old. What growing pains should he have? I get preseason jitters, but he should be in a flow now. I said Turner was never qualified for the job in the first place. Why was he qualified in your opinion?

How do you propose fixing the OLine? You are using nebulous terms like "shore up the defense" and now you are saying "get the oline solved"
Again, those are phrases you use during the offseason. Admit it, Rivera caused these problems in the offseason and now he has to live with it.

Rivera and Wentz will hopefully be gone at the end of the year. Even Rick Snider is saying a change is needed at head coach.

The roster is one of the least talented rosters in the NFL. If Wentz was not starting for WSH, I doubt he starts anywhere else.
Let me ask you this. If you were starting an NFL franchise and could pick any current coach, where would Rivera fall out of the 32 coaches? What about Wentz? Out of 32 starting QBs, where does Wentz fall?

The choices made by this team has turnEd strengths into weaknesses and forced us to draft for depth . Mathis is a prime time example of this . Keeping Settle or ionman or both would have allowed a true need to be addressed, like LB or DB

signing wince didn’t mean you had to let go of ionman , nor settle and settle is in the same role with the bills as he was here
