yep regressed every season
Not here to troll, and I believe some comments from another poster have clearly been directed at me.Ron Rivera built this. Time for him to own it. He's been terrible as the team GM. Outright terrible. Not a while lot better as the team HC.
Team is a clown show right now. Watch though, they'll get better for a quick minute. Just long enough to hook the same ol' delusional fans into thinking they've turned a corner. That's not a corner though, it's the beginning of a circle. Nothing is changing with this team as long as Daniel Snyder's cloven hoofs are embedded deep in its soul.
Sell the team Dan. You triflin evil dickhead you. Sell the team before you utterly n totally destroy it.
Getting down a lot early is deadly. Your game plan has to change. The defense played well early sadly the offense couldn't get anything done.I will admit I am starting to lose confidence in Rivera's ability to build a roster, manage in-game decisions (clock, score, challenges, etc....) and most of all his ability to get the team ready to play. Sheehan spent all week listing the amount of times the Skins are down 20-0, 17-0, and shit like that.
Wentz was bad, threw behind receivers and held on to the ball too long.
The offensive line needs to be completely rebuilt. We lost two all-pros in Williams and Scherff for comp picks. That's on Dan. The culture was so bad those guys turned down big money and faked like they couldn't find a helmet that fit just to get outta town. Move Cosmi to guard already!
Dotson dropped a big one, McLaurin is making a bunch of money.......just saying. Samuel had another good day. If the o-line continues to struggle, we might have to run less spread and keep Bates in to help out on the edge.
Payne flashed. We'll miss him next year. Allen was okay from what I saw. Where is Sweat? I actually liked what I saw from Jamin and Cole for the most part.
I keep BSJ on the outside and move Jax inside and have him play man. Fuller once again made a play or two but gave up some big ones McCain was late all day.
JDR and Turner are taking too long to adjust and are too married to their systems.as well.
Overarching theme is this team under Ron continously comes out flat as hell.
Dallas is basically a must win. Not code red, but in reality they have to have it.
Yeah, Davis is playing much faster. Holcomb had a big stop. I'm not sure why Erik Flowers hasn't been brought back.Getting down a lot early is deadly. Your game plan has to change. The defense played well early sadly the offense couldn't get anything done.
I agree that Davis and Holcomb played well today. Davis might lead the team in sacks.

One positive of the coach-centric model is that it eliminates confusion when it comes to accountability. It all begins and ends with the coach.
If a fan blames the coaching for poor performance; it is on the head coach as he is responsible for hiring the correct coordinators and position coaches. He is also responsible for making adjustments to game planning and evaluating the overall performance of his coaching staff. The head coach must know when to fire underperforming coaches as well. The HC is the CEO on the field and is accountable for substandard coaching practices and decisions. He must ensure the best plays are being called, the appropriate schemes are carried out, and proper techniques are being taught.
If a fan blames the players for poor performance; it is on the head coach as he is responsible for evaluating talent, scouting, and making the final decision on drafting or signing players. If the player doesn't have the appropriate talent, struggles with schemes, and is not coachable, the head coach is responsible for not identifying that prior to player acquisition. If a player is known to have any of these deficiencies, it is the HC's responsibility to correct them to mitigate the risk. The HC must acquire the best talent and if the wrong players are brought on, it is on him. It is also the role of the HC to make sure player strengths are properly utilized.
In other words, in the Commanders situation, it is all on Rivera.
Rivera's offseason strategy included weakening both lines of scrimmage. He threw in the towel after the Wentz trade, and left the LB unit alone. He neglected the defense and did nothing to improve it. I said that was a bad idea at the time. Also the notion of "Just shore up the defense" is something you say in the offseason...not during the season.
With respect to the "Where are the Turner haters" comment, well, I will restate what I said 2 years ago. What qualified him for the position? Just because a HC hires someone doesn't magically make them qualified. I saw nothing in 2 years to give me any confidence. That is my opinion.
It appears he called decent games in Week 1 and Week 2, however, Week 3 was obviously a disaster. Keep in mind, those games were against the 2021 worst defense and 2022 last ranked defense. In other words, the Eagles were the first above-average team he faced and he got exposed. As I have stated, being "loyal" to the coaches is NOT a standard characterization of the average fan.
Lastly, as stated, Carson Wentz is NOT the answer for the Commanders. He will put up the stats, but he does not lead a team. At the end of the day, you do NOT want him leading your team with the game on the line. His career has been mired with attitude problems, leadership questions, and poor decision-making. The main knock was that he holds on to the ball too long.
The question was posed: Wentz or Garoppolo? The answer is neither, but if you had to have one, if I am a Commanders fan, it's Garoppolo. Garoppolo doesn't have Wentz's weaknesses. Jimmy G is 5-2 in the playoffs while Wentz is 0-1. Garoppolo is a game manager whereas Wentz is a poor gunslinger who has zero pocket presence. The Commanders were NEVER a QB as one poster claimed.
One poster said it best: "I am glad Carson Wentz is our QB"...said no team ever...
Again, not here to troll or argue, but one poster continues to take shots at me in an attempt to call me out.
Let this be true. Let this be true.![]()
Report: Momentum builds toward trying to oust Daniel Snyder
The NFL has tiptoed around Commanders owner Daniel Snyder in recent years.profootballtalk.nbcsports.com
Who knows if this is accurate, but I believe this is the key to getting fans back.
I agree. This is all Rivera's n his alone. As the both HC n GM. I don't see how one could argue otherwise. I think next week could be huge for RR n crew. If they play another 1st getting shut out 20+ to 0.Not here to troll, and I believe some comments from another poster have clearly been directed at me.

First I would say I think Philly has a good team. I know you listen to local sports radio and Logan Paulsen said our defensive scheme matches up well with Philly. He was somewhat right. Wentz's fumble and that blown call on Smith being inbounds was worth 10 points.Yeah, Davis is playing much faster. Holcomb had a big stop. I'm not sure why Erik Flowers hasn't been brought back.
Did something personal happen between him and Ron or is Ron just in love with Norwell and Turner because they played in Carolina?
We are wasting our weapons because the three people who started on the interior last year are gone. (Flowers, Rouiller, and Scherff)
I move Cosmi to RG, start Lucas on the right, and replace Norwell with Flowers.
Correct. Sweat is on pace for 5. I liked the way Shaka Toney played today but I have to admit my Penn State bias.I'm on my my phone n these long post start to get hard to follow, but to whoever said Jamin may lead the team in sacks. Yeah, he does with 3. Maybe he's found his niche.
Agree but this is why he isn't:I agree. This is all Rivera's n his alone. As the both HC n GM. I don't see how one could argue otherwise. I think next week could be huge for RR n crew. If they play another 1st getting shut out 20+ to 0.
Though hopefully Synder has bigger issues to deal with. He needs to be gone so bad.
Not gonna lie, I was expecting the Eagles to drop 50 today. Defense wasn't good, especially the secondary, but they were good enough. The o-line, Rivera and to a certain extent Scott and Wentz let us down today.First I would say I think Philly has a good team. I know you listen to local sports radio and Logan Paulsen said our defensive scheme matches up well with Philly. He was somewhat right. Wentz's fumble and that blown call on Smith being inbounds was worth 10 points.
If you don't play a 4-3 you need a box safety to cover the 7th gap. The Skins did well against the run game for the most if I am remembering right. The offense did not keep the defense off the field enough.
No idea about Flowers. Like Bruce when he was here they don't seem to want to pay certain guys. I kind of got Scherff because he was going to get so much for the position. Not that he wasn't a good player. But there are others I don't understand why they didn't want to pay them. The Carolina supply is not my idea of good personnel management. Three guys on the line today looked liked turnstiles. One was Schweitzer who I like but has been playing much. Cosmi needs to go inside like Scherff did. JMO and put Lucas at RT.
I can't see if the entire fan so I don't know if Wentz is ignoring check downs. Clearly the 1st half of the last two games that should have been an option. Defenses are zero blitzing us .... you can seven step drop.
I am praying (not believing) that the WashPo was right about other NFL owners are ready to get rid of Snyder. I think Detroit and Philly are better than we thought before the season started but we have to wait the season out to see. Right now I am having visions of Parsons have an 18 sack day against Washington.
Snyder's fk ups have a domino effect. Snyder drafting Haskins caused Kyle Smith to lose his shit(Kyle's fault) so now Kyle has to go. Thus putting even more on Rivera’s plate and causing him to have to bring in the Martin's who at best are average.Agree but this is why he isn't:
Indeed they do. But it may not be easy. While Snyder has few friends or allies, one of them is Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Jones could lead the charge to ensure that seven others join Jones and Snyder in opposing an involuntary effort to push Snyder out, after more than 20 years in charge. Other owners could align with that effort, given a concern about the setting of a precedent that could be used in time against them.
