Less than 48 hrs away and no discussion about the biggest game of the yr so far. What are you thinking? Will the short week hurt us? I liked that the Giants went no huddle. It gave us a look at what we will see this week in a way. I think it will be a tough game.

Fuck the Eagles. That said....They will be double tough, they have to come in thinking if they can steal this game, that with us coming to their place in a couple of weeks, they will have the Division wrapped up. I think we need 30-35 rushing attempts, and I think we could hit some big plays against their poor pass defense. Defensively, I'd be willing to play man in the secondary and risk some big plays to put all our focus on McCoy and Sproles. I think the Cowboys play their best game of the season and beat the Eagles 37-21

I think they can be ran on... and hope the coaches recognize the need to wear that Iggle defense down. Their quick paced offense actually works to our advantage if we bang away with 6-8 minute drives pounding the rock. I also don't think our secondary can play much worse than it did Sunday night.

God - I hope they don't.

33-21 our heroes.

I think these teams are EXTREMELY similar. Both have nice run games and nice Offenses. I think they both have poor D's with particularly awful secondaries. I dont see Dallas holding Philly to only 21 points though UK. Dallas doesnt have a very good D and Philly averages over 30 a game. Its anyones game but the advantages go to Dallas in two areas 1. Home Game 2. Big QB advantage. I also dont think a win or a loss is that huge being that a rematch will happen 18 days later. Philly could get into a little trouble with a loss and then playing a rejuvenated Seahawk's team next week. Gonna be great game and big step towards the playoffs. Both teams are fatally flawed in the secondary though.

Philly paper has it Dallas 34 Philly 26. I have Dallas winning on a late FG.

Eagles actually have a pretty good run D and have been stopping the run well lately. But Dallas can run on ANYBODY. Again, I cant see the Cowboys poor secondary holding Philly to only 21. But on the flip side, I dont see Philly's equally poor secondary stopping Romo/Dez/Witten either. Dallas just has to run on 1st and 2nd down the majority of the game. Philly is TERRIBLE on 3rd down and if Dallas can establish a run game, Philly is in big trouble cause our CB's get owned EVERY WEEK.

Side note... I see a lot of Eagles fans wanting FA Guard Iupati and FA OLB Houston from KC but it boggles my mind. I dont care if they sign a 22 year old Lawrence Taylor they wont be a contender until they rebuild the secondary.

I feel ya. We are in similar boats. As Jarntt noted the other day - we are probably stuck with Carr next season as we are also stuck with his salary. But it can be easily argued he is at best the third best CB on our team after Scandrick and Moore... neither who distinguished themselves Sunday night. Our safeties are not much better... especially when they run that tool Heath out there because they have no alternative.

Sounds eerily similar to the conversations I have with my coworkers in Philly. Cornerbacks and safeties... we have the same needs.

Yep! Even when you think you have a FA stud, you seem to get let down (Carr/Asomughwa). It seemed like Claiborne was as pretty much as a lock draft pick as one could get but even they let you down. I was reading on some draft site a while ago that CB's and Safeties are hard to find. THe gist was that these big name schools are pretty much loaded everywhere and that benefits CBs and particularly Safeties allowing them to shine in college yet struggle in the pros. THe one memory that haunts me watching our secondary get toasted was the 2010 draft. The Eagles trade up in the first round and I spring from my couch and yell, "Were getting Earl Thomas!!!". Uuuuugh. Did that once before in my life. WERE GETTING WARREN SAPP yet wind up with Mike Mamula cause he told our coach, "Im gonna kick Eric Williams ass". Yeah, right. :bullshit:

This is going to be a tough game. Dallas has to win this. Our schedule is tougher than the Eagles. We have that Cowboy killer Cutler next week and the Eagles after that. My concern ,like a lot of us, is that Dallas D. I think we are a couple of pieces away such as safety, De, from even a servicable unit. I just don't have much faith in them. I would be happy with a one point victory.

How is your schedule tougher?

Eagles/Seahawks or Dallas/Bears. You'd rather play the rejuvenated Seahawks then the Bears?
Eagles/Skins or Dallas/Colts. Obviously you'd rather want to play DC then the Colts.
Eagles/Giants or Dallas/Skins. Does it matter?

Doesnt seem tougher to me at all. Seems about exactly the same.

Would love to see the crown of Rolando McClain helmet collide against McCoy's chin strap. Maybe that would shut him up

Completely agree. Gonna come down to our two games and how our heroes manage those other three. The Wild Card is going to depend on an 11-5 record. I looked at the schedules for ARI, SF, DET, & SEA a little while ago. I don't think 10-6 is going to get a WC berth unless DET has a monumental collapse (even by their standards).

I would rather play the seahawks at Dallas than Chicago on the road. You are an Eagle fan so I don't expect you to know much about any other teams history. Dallas has a bad history in Chicago!!! Colts or Skins? Eagles have a bit of an easier road. You also get extra rest for the Seahawks.

I am ready for this game, hope the boys are. They cannot start this game like they did the Giants game or they will lose. They need to come out strong and finish strong to win this game. Oh and for God sakes put some pressure on Sanchez.

:agree: If 10-6 were to get you in, I think you'd definitely be looking at making it in off a tie breaker with one or two other teams for that last spot

Well then... we should start things off today with a nice Bears victory shouldn't we?
