That is stupid.

Irving is a good player, but way overrated. LEBron is the reason that team is good. Kyrie is a great second option, nothing close to an MVP candidate. Remember, they were like 4-14 in games LeBron sat.

When Curry was Irving's age he was putting up 14 ppg and they won 23 games...You prob didn't think he could be mvp either

Yes in the 14-15 finals other than that one bad shooting game

In 14-15 he shot .385 from three

In 15-16 he shot .400 from three

(and he took more 3's in 15/16)

27.4 ppg 7 assists, 49.4% FG% 46% 3pt% other than game 2. He played great in the 14-15 finals.
Everyone had there bad moments

Yea, Kyrie was way better than Steph in the Finals.

But until I see Kyrie performs great consistently through out a whole season, which Curry just did, I'm not putting him over Steph.

Iggy over Shumpert and Smith
do you know how many guys shot 40% or better from 3, AND hit at least 200 three's last year?

4 guys....

Steph Curry
Klay Thompson
JJ Redick
JR Smith.

MAYBE Shumpert....id listen...no fucking way Smith at this point.

But iggy shoots, rebounds, passes, handles, slasher, high IQ, defensive stud. There is more to a game than making 3s.

Iggy is better at

Passing
Rebounding
Ball handling
Defensively
Better Ball IQ
More athletic
Slashing

Jr is better at

Scoring
Shooting

Didn't know that shooting 3s make you the better player.

Iggy is easily the better player. Smith is essential to the Cavs because hey need another shooter.

I didn't say I agree with it.....just posting the info.

Yeah i know, it just doesnt make sense because we dont have a reliable backup 2. Mccaw maybe. But hes 20 years old

Like they said in the article... you could start Iggy and have him and Durant play any combination of the 2 and 3 spot.

I actually think its an interesting idea. Klay is going to have to sacrifice a lot of offense if he's going to play a large portion of his minutes with Durant and Curry.

If Klay comes off the bench.... you get more out of his offensive abilities and you address what might be an offensively challenged bench.

Of course... Kerr can accomplish this without Klay coming off the bench. He could still start Klay but pull him early for Iggy... then bring him back to run the 2nd unit while Durant and Curry get their rest.

I think too much is being made of who is going to score. The Warriors have 3 premiere scorers in the NBA and will be able to stagger their minutes so that each can get rest and each gets an opportunity to produce. The guy here who really takes a back-seat is going to be Draymond.

Klay won't need to come off the bench because his normal rotation last year was to come out with 6 minutes to go in the 1st quarter and come back to start the 2nd with the second unit. I would imagine Durant would fill that role now. With Durant on the second unit, Klay won't be needed to come off the bench because KD is the most versatile scorer in the NBA. Klay can do what he does best and be a gunner.

The Warriors will likely play a 10 man rotation as they have the last couple years. But here's my example with just their top 8 players:

Rotation
Staters: Curry, Thompson, Durant, Green, Pachulia
6 minute mark: Curry, Livingston, Iguodala, Green, West
2nd Quarter: Livingston, Thompson, Iguodala, Durant, West
6 minute mark: Curry, Thompson, Durant, Green, Pachulia.

Total Minutes:
Curry: 36
Thompson: 36
Durant: 36
Green: 36
Iguodala: 24
Livingston 24
Pachulia: 24
West 24
