Yeah, I do too. That's kind of NN's thing. He'll be rational during the calm times and you can enjoy a baseball discussion with him. He tricked me for a moment at the beginning of last season, too..so much that you'll think "hey, this guy's a decent fella"

Any sign of adversity or controversy and he'll be back to doom and gloom again.

First, the guy has nothing but obvious takes (the strength of the team is pitching, Pablo is out of shape, etc.). Second, even in his non pantshitting takes he laces in some whining (they can't throw as many games away next year). His entire schtick is to say something inflammatory to get responses, even in his calmer "takes."

Someone made an offhand joke about paying for it there, and Nolan pounced hoping to find something to make him feel better about being excluded there. It's not. Nolan will certainly post that I'm making that up, but as I said in #3 he has no validity. And the fact is it's a free board. Nothing he types changes that. We love it there. No trolls, but with avatars, gifs, intelligent and passionate fans getting excited and dejected just like folks here, but with some humility, perspective and maturity. Yeah, Nolan is the most infuriating because you know he's doing his bullshit on purpose. TrueNiners is obviously young and a little weird. Tito is genuinely disturbed. Envy is trolling. Nolan is just a miserable guy who likes making others miserable.

This is why you got banned. Like ESPN cares about "attacking others". If they did, they'd have better moderation. Give me a break ESPN, that's the easily the most transparent attempt ever to not reinstate someone.

Do you have a "yahoo" address from any fantasy sports that you may have forgotten about? I have my gmail one (filosofy71) and I have a yahoo one from fantasy sports for my alternate "filosofy29" one.

But yeah, I'm going to be done there for awhile until someone from over here tells me it's gotten better. I won't even look at that board because I'm sure I'll get sucked in to replying to some stupid post.

I do wish I could reply to the trolls that still come around there some. It boggles the mind they still try to troll after we just won it all. We're trollproof for at least the offseason. How can we get zinged right now?

He fooled me. I remember in April, I thought he was a cool guy and honeslty thought that msg wsa the bad guy lol!

Not anymore though, I was one of the first ones to jump ship and luckily this place came along at the perfect time...

Ha! I wish I could say that I did, but I'm not that smart. I've actually been posting here since April (after a move from the Main NHL ESPN Message Board), but I didn't think anything of it until August. By August, the board was overrun with trolls (and still is to some degree even if they are currently dormant) and it seemed like a lot of the good posters were getting harder and harder to find. I finally got completely fed up though when even the GDT's were getting hijacked. I'm just glad a lot of you guys stuck around on here. There's a lot of knowledgeable posters here who give me a lot of different insights to the game.....it also made the Giants WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP that much sweeter .

Thank God Colin showed up that first night or it might have been all for naught!

Yeah, if things pick up here I'll be happy. I don't even check on the ESPN board anymore.....too much risk that I'll want to post. If it doesn't pick up here, oh well, I'll just have to wait for the season to talk baseball.

Mostly just refusing to move on from the playoff run. I think I've watched every game at least three times - love watching the pre-game shows when the "experts" are picking the braves, phillies, and rangers to win nearly every game. Love it.

Yep. Tito gets 8 million slap on the wrists, but you get the perma ban for mentioning another forum, which ironically you would not have been forced to join had this "moderation team" used their powers intelligently to begin with.
