I'm not sure if you're talking about SU or Duke....I guess the same could be said for both teams.

I'm talking about Duke. They seem to be Jeckle and Hyde this year to me anyway

This is going to be one of the most disappointing games of the season. Everyone is expecting this and that. What your gonna get is two teams running into a wall. It's going to look like shit.

After the game everyone will say how much SU and Duke both suck. Truth is....ugly is what SU does. And anyone playing them plays ugly.

Assuming my boy Ennis ankle is a non issue.....Duke will not win this game and won't win the one in Cameron.

What did the op say.....You'll thank me later.

I agree... I don't think Duke has a chance in this one. I say the orange win comfortable... to much athleticism and you really can't prepare for that 2-3 zone that looks like a 3-2 with their speed ...unless you have the length and speed that SU has to work against. It just isn't the same...

Just my opinion... not worth shit in the end.

Huh?

Duke's three pt ability has shot so many teams out of a zone over the years. I seriously cannot wait to see how Syracuse's zone holds up.

who exactly has Duke "shot out of the zone over the years"? These Blue Devils who shot teams out of this zone of yours , are they still around? There is only one "Zone" in this country and it's in Syracuse. No one wearing a Duke uniform has ever seen it. You won't need to wait long to see how this zone holds up. Hint : it holds up better than 18yr olds shooting triples

agreed. of course, andre dawkins has got to be, what, 24 at this point? guy has some range, that's for sure.

that being said Syracuse is not most vulnerable against the 3 like your "typical" zone.

they are vulnerable at the foul line and kick to 3, or foul line drive and dish down low (although with that one they have the length to make up for getting beat near/under the basket more than any other team that is playing a zone, that's for sure). there aren't many places this zone can be beat, which is why JB has so many wins

Yup, definitely agree and also, Duke is not just a 3 point team as they have people who play well inside; especially Parker who is able to be everywhere and does everything well. Along with Jefferson, Plumlee and Hood, Duke is big enough where Syracuse will/should not dominate the offensive glass. Actually, it's tough to make 3 point shots away. Don't have any stats on 3's at home or 3's away, however have to believe there is some difference there.

The students have braved freezing temperatures (some for two weeks) as they wait outside the Carrier Dome.

While the ultimate payoff will be prime seats on Saturday to watch Syracuse take on Duke at the Carrier Dome, the students got a little reward on Friday morning.

Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, assistants Gerry McNamara and Mike Hopkins and center Baye Moussa Keita showed up to Boeheimberg with hot beverages and baked goods from Dunkin' Donuts.

Attendance is expected at 35,466 for the Duke @ SU game.

I noticed they are already selling shirts with that number. I remember the nova-SU 34,616 game where the number was supposed to be 34,614 and they already sold a bunch of shirts saying "34,614"

however 2 extra people somehow got in and were counted on the ticket registrar (espn showed them on camera sitting in their own little section) and so the next day they started selling 36,616 shirts

i feel like that will happen again tomorrow

(great merchandising ploy)
