Jonvi, my point is Duke is a much better team and if they win on Saturday, it validates them as a potential final 4 team. No one can simply pencil in a team, regardless of how good they are. To beat Syracuse in the Dome is not easy. Have to believe it takes some time getting used to playing ball in a football stadium which means the court is not framed the same as basketball arenas. Two weeks ago, no one gives Duke a chance in the Dome; now there is some doubt.

Douggie; you did not answer my question.

I agree that if Duke wins, they must be considered a serious contender in March. Shit you ask me, even if they lose, after the way they took apart Pitt, people better be showing respect now. Duke won the battle on the boards against pitt. SU lost that battle.

But I like my boys this year. I don't care where they are playing....I'm thinking they can win every time.

Don't know if you saw that ankle turn, it really looked like a severe sprain. At first, I thought he broke it, but being as he kept on playing; really was limping, it's probably a sprain. Still can't believe he stayed in that game. Surely someone on that bench is as good as a one-legged Ennis. Had he rolled it again, could have really been serious; if not already.

i was VERY surprised he stayed in. it really did look nasty, and he is too important to risk further injuring it. I think if there is even a question on Saturday he should sit, it's not like a loss or even two over the next week would effect a 1 seed in the east at this point. It's different because it was non-conference and we were playing AWFUL teams, but we sat Zeus out for two games and his ankle sprain seemed much less severe (at least from what the replays of both injuries looked like) than ennis's...

I was streaming the game on the computer...I didn't have it on TV so no, I couldn't see the screen well enough to tell how bad the sprain was. I saw the pick and him trip over the guy giving the pick and saw the zebra called ennis for a foul that I didn't see either.

Oh and on the officials...I thought the refs sucked the big one in this game. For both teams.

Yikes.....don't like the sound of that. And agree...a loss or two so he recovers fully is the way to go.

god damn douggie you have to be the most sensible Duke fan I have ever come across...it's actually a very strange feeling, agreeing with everything a Dookie says...

because douggie is a duke fan, he's seen his fair share of shit thrown at him. But if anyone takes a second to read his post, they learn quickly there's stuff going on between the ears.

There are 181 people registered for camping at the dome for the Duke game. SU allows four man tents to be set up...current number is 47 tents are set up. Of the four people per tent, one must be at the dome camp site known as "Boeheimburg" at all times...which allows the other 3 to stay home, rest or what ever while they rotate out.

The number grows daily as student seating is first come gets the best seats.

So for the last 16 nights, kids have been camping at the Dome for the Duke game. There have been some subzero nights. I'm impressed.

I guess a lot of them have been getting camping and cold weather supplies donated to help them through the freezing temps. One thing mentioned about Northern New Yorkers....if we see someone about to do something incredibly stupid, we are there to help them along their way.

and thats what so baffling about this years team. One game they will look great like the Pitt game and then they play down to their competition.

Yikes, camping out in a parking lot at the Dome in January......too tough for me.

As explained by one of the campers...

"When I arrived, I was surprised at how warm it was outside the lower gates, particularly inside the tent. The campsite is protected from the wind and, until the cold of the deepest part of the night, is relatively comfortable. Tents are kept zipped at almost all times to keep the heat in.

"It's not so bad," I was told by my first tent-mate, Danielle Matfess.

Indeed, Garrett Griffiths was wandering around outside in just a T-shirt and pants. A more reasonable friend, Jonathan Burke, shuffled along with his entire body wrapped in a sleeping bag and only his slippered feet showing.

Matfess taught me a few tricks I'd need to know. The Carrier Dome bathroom was open, and if you talked to the security guard for a while, you could linger in the warmth without looking like a wimp.

She performed roll call, checking for members of all 40 groups that had registered. That number grew to 47 before I'd depart on Thursday morning, and one representative for each four-person group is supposed to be in Boeheiemburg at all times. Allowances are made for bathroom runs and quick walks."

When I was 18....hell yeah!:yahoo: But what about class?

I'm not sure if you're talking about SU or Duke....I guess the same could be said for both teams.

I assume Duke. I don't know that you can say 'Cuse played great against Pitt. Because, well, they didn't

Duke is on a nice little run; beating up on their last four opponents by 15 points or more. I think Duke will beat the Cuse..........on February, 22, but not this Saturday.

Have to agree; especially being the game was at the Dome. That said, Pitt always seems to have the answer for Syracuse so that game didn't surprise me. Allowing Miami to stay around did.

Syracuse will , not doubt be favored; for me, I just have this feeling that Duke's 3 point guys, Cook, Dawkins, and Jefferson are going to light it up. Can't guard all of them.....and the way Cooney has been pitching bricks, Ennis is their only outside threat. As I mentioned before, not sure if Duke has an answer for Grant and also not sure if Parker will show up ready to play.... IMO, his feelings are hurt as Rodney Hood has stolen his thunder....LOL

I wouldnt be shocked if Duke won if they shoot the 3 ball well. For the Cuse to win they have to take to Duke inside the paint with there bigs. Fair, Rak, Grant, and Keita all need good games. It would be nice to see Cooney hit a couple of 3's as well.

Duke's three pt ability has shot so many teams out of a zone over the years. I seriously cannot wait to see how Syracuse's zone holds up.
