Adam Schefter is reporting Lock will be the QB for the remainder of the year.

We should get at least a good look at him these final 5 games.

Of course, but I’m sure everyone would feel more comfortable if he didn’t look terrible. Makes it so we don’t even have to think about drafting a QB at all in the draft.

I like having three distinct QB's. If the starter is inexperienced then the back up should have some. If the starter is an established vet then the back up should be an inexperienced guy with potential. And then you have your developmental guy at QB3. Lock/Allen/Rypien isn't ideal but it could work. I think Allen can make all the throws that Lock can make.

Seriously though he’s got a tough slate ahead. Texans are legit and the Chiefs in KC are always tough, esp in December. If the Broncos are 4-10 fans are going to be down on Lock and prematurely.

The only way that doesn’t happen is if Lock looks really good and we just happen to lose. If we can get a great draft pick and Lock looks amazing, it’s a win-win.

My highest expectation for the tough games ahead is for Lock to cement himself into position as a team leader while he and the Broncos go down swinging. I'll take any wins as an enjoyable gift.

I could see this team go 2-2 to finish the year. I am thinking it is unrealistic to expect to go into Houston or KC and come out with a win. Now playing the Lions and Raiders at home both could be wins. Finishing the season 3-2 and going 3-3 in the division would be a positive.

Which isn’t too far fetched an idea. We’re starting to lose pieces on that defense. Guys have stepped up but that unit has got have some fatigue from having to drag this offense through the season.

Hopefully Lock is a breath of fresh air for the whole team.

My comparison for Lock would be Matthew Stafford. Great arm strength, trusts his arm, atheltic ability and makes quick decisions when to run.

Lock is way more athletic than Cutler. Only comparison I see with Cutler is the arm strength. For a Vandy kid Cutler sure didn’t make good quick decisions.
