EJ is not a bad pick. Taj Boyd maybe?

I'm seeing nothing that suggests the rams want to make Bradford earn his job. Surprised no WRs have been taken too. The offense just doesn't look much different than last year.

Anyone else hear that Tre Mason may need surgery?

Alexander's journey back to St. Louis has seen him bounce around on the football field. He started as a defensive end in high school and junior college, moved to linebacker upon arrival at Utah State before the fight incident took him out of the game for the 2012 season.

So Alexander returned to St. Louis and looked for any job that would keep him busy and money in his pockets. By the time he returned to Utah State, Alexander was asked to change positions, moving to safety at the start of the 2013 season.

Alexander took to his new position without much trouble, racking up 11 tackles in his first game against Utah. When the season was through, the 6-foot-2, 212-pounder had established himself as a physical presence on the back end. He finished with 80 tackles, nine for loss and 3.5 sacks.

During the pre-draft process, the Rams brought Alexander to Rams Park for a "local" visit and put him through a workout. They were quickly satisfied with what he brought to the field as a player, but had to dig a little deeper to ensure that Alexander wouldn't be a character risk off it.

Interesting story. Big dude and played 1 year at safety and he punched a teammate. I think we could have gotten him later in the draft.

Some notables. Exum went to the Vikes who are queitly have a good draft. Metzenberger went to the tittons. Murray went to the Chiefs. That leaves us Taij Boyd.

Like someone already posted, so much for getting a QB to push Bradford.

You aren't going to find that now.

Better to skip the position altogether. Boyd, Shaw, etc aren't going to do anything but hold a clipboard.

If Sam falters this season, you draft a QB in the 1st next year.

Yea, SJ. The guys on NFL Network are stating if he makes the Rams it'll be practice squad holding a clipboard.

I don't know much about him. They say he's athletic with a good arm.

I think whoever is selecting these guys is tired and wants this to end. They are pulling krap out of their butts now.

This thing is rapidly going south. It'll be interesting to see if they pick up anybody of value in the
7th or they are just going to piss away 4 picks.

espn on Gilbert. like sj said doubt he makes the team. this is a scale 1-4 4 being below avg.

Mental Makeup 4 Can he be trusted with keys to car? Too many giveaways. Holds ball loose as a runner. Puts ball up for grabs far too often. Trusts arm too much, tries to fit too many balls into coverage and takes too many chances throwing back across field. Appears to bounce back from mistakes and shows good mental and physical toughness on the field. Will hang in there and make tough throws staring down gun-barrel.
Accuracy 4 Erratic in this area. Makes some high-degree of difficulty throws look easy, including dropping ball in bucket down field. But also misses some wide open targets. Accuracy dips noticeably when throwing under duress. Inconsistent with accuracy on the move. Does not show natural touch at times. Lacks anticipation.
Release/Arm Strength 4 Arm strength is adequate. Thrives in short-passing game, which was heavily featured at SMU. Struggles to drive ball vertically with good tempo. Has some upper-body tightness and a bit of an unorthodox delivery. Three-quarter delivery. Has too many passes batted down at line of scrimmage.
Pocket Mobility 4 Adequate foot quickness and strength in pocket. Can shake defenders on occasion and does decent job of eluding initial rush. But eyes consistently drop when pocket muddies. Misses far too many open receivers as a result. Competitive runner with slightly above average speed. Can tuck and run for first down on occasion.

Former Texas QB. Played in national champ game when McCoy went down IIRC. Big arm, raw. Had like 4 different OCs in his college career.

Ideal developmental QB with low odds of making it like any developmental QB
