Are we at this point yet? I love Stafford but broken bones in his back doesn’t sound like something that’s going to get better.
For the Lions, the clock has started for considering the future
PoDcast on this page talks about Stafford and injury etc at 34:50...… 36:20 talks about pain management and this injury and not much risk involved with him continuing to play again this year
If they want to consider the future. They can consider firing Quinn and Pattycakes.
They took a perennial 9-7 team and turned it into back to back top 10 picks in the NFL draft.
If this current injury along with the past one puts Stafford's health at risk for something far more serious then I hope he walks away.
Stafford having a good and healthy quality of life after football is more important than putting himself in possible jeopardy for paralysis. (not that the latter has been mentioned but it's a possibility depending on what the truth and extent of this injury is).

Top 10 is where you find all the best TE's

won't happen, imho.
only in years ending with a 9 or 4
Pettigrew 2009
Ebron 2014
Hockenson 2019
Taking all those shots on the turf and Ricky Wagner at RT have been the biggest detriments to Stafford's long term health.

BQ got a 5 year extension. It took another 3 years after Millen got his extension before anything was done. It took Lions games walkouts, TV blackouts and the media. They can consider firing Quinn
The season was over last year when it happened in week 13. Thanks to the Lions great coaching staff the fan base gets another losing season full of excuses. They are only micro fractures. He should sit for a few weeks though to let them heal. Should be fine if he does that.
