I’m putting money right now Julio is going to be better than Kelenic. I think Kelenic can be a stud but Julio has Trout type talent.

Agreed. What little I saw of Julio in spring last year on TV sold me. Very special talent.

Julio seems like he will be a better force at the plate kind of reminds me of a Nelson Cruz that is a big ass kid for his size. Kelenic seems like he can be the leader of the club house that can be solid at a little bit of everything.

Mariners sent RHP Matt Festa outright to Triple-A Tacoma.
Festa cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last week. He'll stick around as organizational depth.

    Keith Law Rankings:

By John Trupin@JohnTrupin Mar 2, 2020, 7:11am PSTShare this on Facebook (opens in new window)

Longtime public prospect writer Keith Law has released his annual ranking of MLB organization farm systems, under the banner of The Athletic. He ranked the Mariners 11th out of 30, noting with shock that Seattle’s farm is in fact “good”. Law attributes the improvements to “Jerry DiPoto (sic), who hasn’t traded a prospect away in several weeks now”, as well as consecutive promising drafts, a couple high-profile international signees in Julio Rodriguez and Noelvi Marte (though Law does once again mistakenly list the two as having signed the same year), and of course the trades that started the “step-back” in the first place.

Law’s ranking puts the Mariners lower than either of the other two major publications to release their rankings thus far, with Baseball America placing the Mariners 5th overall and Baseball Prospectus putting Seattle 4th (though the latter might be subject to change, as it is drawn from the BP Annual book - their rankings have not gone online publicly yet). Law has always been forthright about his preference towards upside over high floors, and Seattle, outside of Rodriguezand Marte, is flush with players that would be considered more high-floor than roof-raising. My own personal rankings have Seattle in the 6-9 range, so while this strikes me as a bit low, it does reflect a balance to BA and BP. The departure of Kiley McDaniel for ESPN has likely slowed FanGraphs’ prospect rollout, but once their list concludes (and the Mariners list is released) we’ll have a full array of the major sites rankings entering the season.

    M's 9th in these Rankings

Every club's 2020 farm system, ranked

    9) Seattle Mariners
    2019 preseason rank: unranked
    2019 midseason rank: 11
Top 100 Prospects: Jarred Kelenic, OF (No. 11), Julio Rodriguez, OF (No. 18), Logan Gilbert, RHP (No. 38), Evan White, 1B (No. 56), George Kirby, RHP (No. 100)
Top 2020 rookie: Evan White, 1B
The decision to restock the farm has gone well with some good drafts and trades to turn this into a top 10 system that has some guys starting to show up in the big leagues

Nowhere to put this, but I suggest buying MLB the Show this year. It actually has the top prospects in this years game for the Mariners

I haven't played these games for 20 years but sounds fun. Back in the late 80's my friend and I use to binge play all night different sports games. Play all night and fuel up on Domino's Pizza. Mad those were good times then life got in the way...lol.

Well it’s just fun since there isn’t any sports on and generally they don’t have legit prospects on there.

No Playstation has had the exclusive rights for years. It's almost 10ish years since Xbox had a current baseball game but I think thats finally changing in 2021
