Horan has had a quiet year, but he has REALLY turned it on the last few weeks. Just last year he shot onto everyone's radar as one our better power-hitting OF prospects. Maybe he is salvaging his prospect-status with this late surge...

AnVill is also 1.5 years over the average age of the Cal League. I agree he is more than just org depth, but he is no longer a prospect.Villalona has come around, too. About six weeks ago, he was sub-.200 with no power. Now he is almost .300, and has homered six times in the last three weeks.
On June 25, he was hitting .143 with Richmond
He came to San Jose, and is hitting .299
Richmond .143/.180/.179
San Jose .299/.382/.563
Probable pitchers across our system today:
AAA: Curtis Partch
AA: Joe Biagini
A+: Chase Johnson?
A: Mark Reyes
SS: Mac Marshall
Partch pitched in relief on Wednesday in Sacramento.
Ray Black back in the Pen. He was in the rotation because he needed innings, but also they could control his workload. Part of his injury history was that he was unable to rebound very well pitching out of the Pen. So this is going to be big form him. If he gets over that hump, he could be pitching in SF by September.
I think Okert, Osich, Broadway, and Cordier are ahead of him in line for September call-ups.
I had forgotten about Dunning. He did a AZL rehab start last week, and today with San Jose. He may go next to RIchmond or to Sacramento. He had a cuppo last year with the Giants.
Ray Black is already on the 40-man, and he easily has the stuff to stick at the ML level. Giants want to use his bullets while they can.
