That tweet was from 15 hours ago when we did not know the contract. It is a 3-year/$14 million contract but the guarantees are only $10 million. The other $4 million is injury related. So this is more of a 3-year/$10 million contract. Which while high for a back up OL player is still with in reason of what you would want for a swing tackle. And maybe they do view him as a starter. Just look at last year with Darian Stewart.

Wouldn't surprise me if true. From what I can tell Elway is trying to build an OL where they have lots of choices of where they want guys to form the best 5. This gives them the option of either Stephenson at RT or LG and Sambrailo in the same boat. My guess is they still use a high pick on the OL as well to compete for all positions. This is why I still guess right now that Whitehead of K-State is our choice as he has experience at all 5 positions on the OL.
