Agreed.....Miami is awful fortunate they pulled out a win. Very hard for me to believe our defense could only muster 1 freakin sack against the Skins, and clearly not signing Mathis was an epic failure. Kevin Coyle is still our D-coordinator, yes? Well then I suppose the fact that our defense looked awfully flat makes perfect sense. LOTS of improvements to be made over the course of the week. All three AFC teams looked very good in week one, except for the Fins. Yikes.....

Win is good, got a ton of work to do. They should not struggle against the Skins like that. O lack of drive and points looks like a repeat of past years.

There are some positives in this win. The Fins defense held an NFL offense to 10 points in Washington's home stadium. The Fins played best when it mattered most which is in the red zone. Brice McCain made a Great INT. It was about as good as you will see. Grimes also had an INT. Taylor made some good plays. Fede got pressure on the QB on the final play. It shows the depth at DE for the team. L Miller put the game away with a powerful run. Landry as we all know, is an absolute star. He is such a great competitor. Matthews made a very good move to get open for a TD. The Fins were the finishers in the game. Do the Fins need to play better to beat better teams? Sure, but the Fins got the needed win to keep pace with the other AFC teams.

Solid W. Defense looked a little slow at first but tightened up soon enough. Suh already in the heads of his opponents (pun intended). Tannehill needs to calm down. I'm not sure about Philbin. The D should carry them the first half of the season np.

Tannehill didn't look like the same QB that was so accurate & consistent during the preseason. He needs a bounce back game. He'll have to make quick decisions because the Jags really get after the QB. RE Philbin: He has been focusing on finishing games in the preseason. We saw the Fins do that on Sunday. We'll see as the season goes along if he can become a playoff level coach.
