Based on everything I've gathered, he's struggled so far this year and hasn't played like he usually does. Yet, he's the AFC Pro Bowl leader at the tackle spot for fan votes, or was.

Kaep should be the starter especially after a loss/poor outing, he can't get yanked. That would really destroy our QBs. It's another test for him as he continues to grow and learn.

I just want Harbs to call the starting qb for the rest of the yr. I feel it's still in both of smith and kaps mind about the uncertainty. He needs to call it now and let them go and prepare for it all.

It's not fair to smith , kap or the team. The motto is the team the team the team. Well let them know Harbs! If he honestly wanted kap to start for the rest of the way then he would say it. Part of me still thinks he is unsure. If he he knew then he would just say it.

Kaep starting is the right choice. Flip flopping between him and AS will only lead to confusion. Continuity leads to familiarity which leads to consistency which leads to stability..

If he's using points scored, he isn't. 30 points generated by the Kaepernick-led offense against two bad defenses in 9 quarters of football, albeit on the road, is unacceptable.

if this means physical injury for Akers, then thats different. no wonder they're trying to stick it out with Akers, despite the misses? but then more so, the play calling went too conservative prior to that missed FG.

Harbaugh knew before the game that Akers is dealing with an injury yet still went ultra conservative after the gift punt the Rams gave them in OT. He decides to turn it over to an injured kicker for a 50+ yard attempt. Another inexplicable call by Harbaugh.
