Uggh. Not good if we lose Fangio. It's critical we work something out and keep him for atleast another year. This defense is too young and too good to be wasted.

Yeah, I wonder how interested Fangio is in those jobs. I still think if it was truly important to him, he would have been a HC after San Fran. However, maybe he realizes this is likely his last shot and he's changing his mind a bit.

Hate to say I told you so. Even though, he hasn’t even done anything yet. I doubt he gets on anywhere this year though.

I still don't know if he's interested... Regardless, all I said was that he could have been a HC if he had wanted to by last off-season. Which is still correct. He absolutely had the resume for a HC gig for a long, long time and he never so much as interviewed.

To me, Fangio reeks of a guy who's a great DC but not great head coach material. Guys like Buddy Ryan, Dick LeBeau, Wade Phillips, Jim Schwartz and others. It'd really suck to see Fangio leave and take the helm of a shitty team just to have the bad personnel get him fired 2 years later.

He left San Fran because he was pissed he didn't get HC job

Fangio is 60 years old and has never been a hc. I hope that keeps other teams from offering him a position.

One of his reasons given for staying in Chicago after he interviewed and lost the job to Nagy, was all the great young talent (as evidenced this year) on the D. Show me a team that has lost its HC with great young talent on D to lure him away

We all better get used to being poached, it comes with winning. Man have things changed in the last year.

Ima call it now. Fangio stays.

D coordinator for the Chicago Bears with this talent is his dream job.

He ain't going nowhere, and if that means he gets more money...well, Pace needs to get er' done.

I don’t know. The more jobs that open, the better chance he goes. Right now there are 7 open jobs and maybe an eighth in the ravens. I’m not sure I can name 7-8 better HC candidates than Fangio. I think it’s very possible Fangio is gone next year. The good thing is, this defense is great mostly because of personnel. They will attract another stud DC, no doubt.

We are going to start running into issues paying the talent on D before long as well...

Mack
Hicks
Floyd
Jackson
Smith
Fuller

Etc...

I think the must signs with Mack are fuller, Jackson, and smith. I’d only resign Floyd if he’s cheap. We will have Trubisky coming up too. That’ll be the 2nd biggest contract on the team.
