Yeah, football is complicated. Some experts say he ran the ball to score a touchdown (which is worth 6 points), but really who the fuck knows....

He didn't need to run the ball on that play. AND there was a penalty, so not only was it not worth it, it also quite possibly cost him his career as a starter.

I don't believe you can play scared and be successful.

Wentz was probably as big a reason for being in the SB as anyone, considering the Eagles most likely aren't there without homefield

But no doubt he was cheering for the Pats deep down, human nature as a competitor not to want to be so easily replaceable

Absolutely NOT. This might just be the stupidest thing you've ever said here on the hoop.

Wentz is a great young QB who was a huge part of this win and by all accounts seems like a grounded, classy, confident guy. He will be fine and barring injuries have a great, long career. There is a good chance he was in the middle of his best statistical year ever in some ways but if he can improve his completion % a little and cut down on the sacks a little I think he will be even a better QB going forward. The needle is pointing up for him.

I'd like some more complicated math equations, like maybe 0 + 1 < 5. Just in case it wasn't clear that five is more than one.

Maybe also a second equation where we discuss the difference between the time the Eagles won their last Lombardi and when the Cowboys won theirs. I'm not sure, but I think 8,052 is a larger number than 10.

It's not complicated. All you need to do is envelope the Super Bowl Era.

Hey, we could also discuss the number of playoff wins that Nick Foles has relative to the following QBs in their time with the Cowboys:
Dak Prescott
Matt Cassel
Tony Romo
Jon Kitna
Drew Bledsoe
Vinny Testaverde
Quincy Carter
Chad Hutchinson

Let me ask you a question

Do you think deep down, Tony Romo was pulling for Dak Prescott to be great?

This is sort of what Carson Wentz does.

Gets hurt, lets his team carry him and somehow escapes without being labeled a brittle bitch, like he was in college and doesn't miss a beat. Until he gets hurt again and let's his team carry him.

He pulled for him to win, and was constantly helping him learn so the team can win with Dak under center.
Therefore IF Dallas made the Super Bowl with Dak yes he 100% would have been all for it.

I dis-agree completely, Dak essentially ended Romos' career, as a competitor, I cant imagine someone being happy about that

Of course saying 'Wentz was cheering for the Patriots' sounds insanely harsh, and maybe its too over the top, but there had to be a big part of Wentz that felt strange about the whole thing, and especially considering Foles was absolutely amazing and the biggest reason they won by far

100% ..but.

There is a considerable amount of pressure on him now.
His back up took them all the way and now the expectations for him to succeed have tripled.
Just 2 losses in a row with 2 or 3 ints will be enough for the grumblings to start.

He had all the wiggle room in the world. But that ring on his finger might as well weigh 300 lbs for all the extra weight it put on his shoulders.

Wrong again. Romo's back ended Romo's career.

As for Wentz the only way he might have pulled for a loss is if he was in danger of losing his status as THE STARTER in 2018 and beyond. Sorry 99.9% of us know Foles isn't a quality starter in this league. Is he better than some current starters, sure he is, but you don't sign him as your franchise QB.
