As in Donovan McNabb. The ability to make some sick throws into tight coverage, coupled with the mind bending what the fuckism of missing wide open receivers for no explainable reason??

This is the truth. Remember how lost Allen was in his first few games last year? He was terrible. After a season under his belt and in the same offense (big asset) the game has slowed down for him and he can play instinctively. Unfortunately Haskins is no where near that, but with hard work and off season dedication, he has the ability to get there. It’s really up to Dwayne if he really wants it or not.

That's a big concern. If he has to learn a completely new offense next year, that sets him back at least a year. I hope he understands how important the off field study is at his stage. He has never really had to study like this until he was drafted. And one of the knocks on him has been his study habits. It took him a while to figure out that he has got to dedicate himself to the playbook, on and off the field.Odds are pretty good Haskins wont be in the same offense next year. So im not going to bank on the whole game slowdown factor in this case. Because I dont think the owner or the fan base will be satisfied with making the current interim head coach, the long term head coach.

Lets hope not cuz Nabby's accuracy issues stayed with him his entire career.
I hope not far as being in the same offense next year.
I will ask you the same thing i have sort of floated to everyone else.
WHo should they bring in as HC, and why that person??
That's the million dollar question isn't it. I don't know, but I'd like it to be someone other than the guy who was our OL coach for the last 5 years. A job at which imo Callahan at the very best was average at. I could be wrong, but I don't see a coach who was average in his tenure as our OL coach. Being a good HC or being the QB whisperer Haskins needs. Nor am I sure Callahan would hire someone to be a QB whisperer for Haskins as he would might become our next top choice for HC after Callahan gets fired in a couple seasons.
Honestly, I cannot even believe you would consider Callahan at this point. Wouldn't a new (real) NFL coach be able to institute his own ground game to mesh with Haskins strengths? This team needs NEW direction from very reliable NFL coaches which are not in our program right now. Sure, there is a coach or two on staff that could stay however, this regime has to go. I'm still on the Josh McDaniels train until we pass on him or cannot convince him to come. Other than that, there is some former coach on the weekly NFL pregame show that said he would take the job. Lol!Im not saying Callahan should just be handed the job. I am saying they should see how the team, and the QB progress over these last few games. And if we see a positive track, he should at minimum be considered. I know its nice to say (NEW GUY) brings hope, but after what 20 years of musical QB and new coaches, Im not sold that the sexy college coach is the answer for this team. And feeding the young QB into a new system might not be the best thing for him either.
