I'd wager that as well....

......now if they both had the same talent around them to work with....

True and if Edelman and Hogan are playing add another 500 yards and easy 5tds for the season

He was with the Hoyer one, that's why he is back
Pretty sure Bill knew his odds of winning a SB with a backup did not change with a change in backups.

Unless it was his old backup, who he'd sent out to be seasoned by the league before coming back to NE, to hopefully never play.

Plus the UM-MSU dynamic further instills Sparty's Lil Brother complex.

Bill himself probably won't regret it because I'll wager he retires when Brady retires so he won't care about the QB situation beyond Brady.

Will the Pats regret it in the future? Depends.

If they can't find a decent QB after Brady and Jimmy G is a top 5 QB with SF the feeling will probably be "maybe we should've traded Brady instead".

And they could regret it if they don't win another championship with Brady because going with Brady over Jimmy G is basically saying we want and need to win now and we're not worried about how things will be a few years down the road.
