I think some of us are sleeping on Minnesota. they have a power run game play decent defense and they have a new tape to use on how to shit on Nebraska in 3 qtr or less.

Iowa we should win but I wouldn't be surprised.

to me it's not about beating the Purdue or Minnesota it's about hanging with the Ohio st and Michigan st. we didn't beat one ranked opponent this year best win was at home vs miami who blew the game to fsu.

people need to look more than the record look at opponents ranked games primetime games how we played or lost in those games. last but not least are we making moves and improving. still feels like we're the same team from 2011.

As soon as I heard Taylor was starting against Minnesota because "Taylor said he could start".......I was scared.

haha

Fair enough. I forgot that was the 'Return of Taylor' game.

Last season was a cluster-fuck.

The press after this loss hasn't been kind. If we lose to Minnesota, they are going to be brutal. Bo's "head games" pretty much started last year after another of our big losses. If he starts his if they want to fire me let them do it bullshit again this year, don't be too sure that it won't happen this time. Losing games is one thing but continually bad mouthing everyone but himself is only going to get him so far.

It will also be interesting to see how the players react. Up to now, Bo has pretty much had the support of his players, but surely even they have got to be getting tired of Bo's "I don't know what happened" mindset. These types of losses have to be wearing on them as well. It will be interesting to see if the team is merely going through the motions or are actually trying to win the games that are remaining.

The press is kind because of fear of not getting passes to the next press conference. This machine does not allow for detractors. The process is flawless.

For all practical purposes, the goals are off the table. Wisconsin will have to go (0-2) @ Iowa and to Minnesota for Nebraska to get back in CCG hunt. The Play-Off is obviously off the table no matter what happens.

Bo made his bed with certain media members a long time ago. He's not going to find apologists there. TO didn't like the media either, but he didn't treat them with contempt.

I thought Big Red Over-reaction was interesting. They tried to keep things from going overboard on the fire Bo talk. They sort of had to as 11 wins is still on the table.

I don't think Bo will be fired.

I realize he has input on the defense, but, Papuchis is the defensive coordinator.

It is quite obvious Nebraska did not work on the Jet Sweep enough.

While Bo is out doing the myriad of Head Coaching duties and obligations, Papuchis should have been watching film and broke down on how to defend the Jet Sweep or just one running back or even understand that if McEvoy is in, he is probably going to run or at least hand it off to Gordon.

Papuchis did nothing. He has no understanding of defenses or offenses and is in way over his head.

Fire Papuchis and look for another defensive coordinator. They are out there. How about Marshall's DC? UTSA? Louisiana Tech? Northwest Missouri State? What about the head coach at Wisconsin Whitewater?

Seriously though, I am so sick of this shit.

Just think of what many of you are saying now.

Now think back to 3-4 years ago. One member of the Media was saying the same thing. But the Mob labled him a douche bag because yall couldn't handle the truth. This shit has gone on long enough and no one can deny he was right. Not even the bully himself could convince you.

They do what Bo tells them to do. If he wanted something corrected it would have been done a long time ago. Bo doesn't care, winning his way is more important than just winning. Vindication is what is important.

After having two weeks to prepare, Bo needs better explanations of what the hell happened on both sides of the ball. Bo can't, because he really doesn't know and won't fix it like the last time this reoccurred.

Eichorst plain and simply needs to give Bo the ultimatum...

You either clean house, and hire assistants who are capable of doing their jobs.......or you're fired.

If NU wins these next two there will be no way Eichorst can do anything but offer another one year extension.

The press will do their jobs regardless of press passes. Maybe you didn't read Shatels column today but to say the least it wasn't kind to Bo. Whether you like or dislike Shatel, whether he was the only one with a rather "unkind" piece about Bo (his column really wasn't so much about the game but about Bo), I have no idea.

Win or lose next week I'm going to be very surprised if the boo birds aren't out in force. And unless this game is "won" by the start of the 4th quarter, I'm going to be surprised if there aren't quite a few empty seats.

The "machine" if you will wants to see the stadium full of happy fans. If that ain't happening, the machine will let Bo go.

bo turn the ship around in 08 n 09 giving us confidence we can be back on the national scene. 2010 was suppose to be the year for Nebraska as it ended ugly esp with tmart injury and big12 bs

2011 was suppose to be the return of tmart but with the switch of conference that year turn out to be a dud. that was also the last year we were ranked top ten.

since 2011 it's been down hill..... blowouts after blowouts CCG blowouts. the issue haven't been fixed on both sides from offense being to turn over prone to defense getting exposed.
it's clear what games Nebraska will win by the opponents talent we have no issue beating the Purdue Illinois or Kansas Iowa st. but as soon as the talent is close to being even we get blown out like battleship. we haven't won a primetime game.

outside of Nebraska the nation thinks we're a joke. Bo is benefiting from having a 12 game season and easy non conference games. you can sleep walk 8-9 games in. our schedule but when the lights are on we shit on ourselves

bo won't Fire friends but it's time for him to move on 9 wins being ranked in the lower half of the top 25 is getting old.

This article pretty much says it like it is

Pelini seeks answers after another Nebraska tumble

The Huskers have lost five of their last six on the road against Top 25 teams and are 3-9 in those games since Pelini took over in 2008. That stretch doesn't include the 2012 Big Ten championship game, when an unranked Wisconsin pummeled the then-No. 14 Huskers 70-31.

Asked why his team struggles in the biggest games, Pelini said, "I have no idea."

He added, "I don't get into the big picture thing. It's one football game. This program has won a lot of football games."

"We played with a lot of confidence and a lot of swagger in the first quarter," Papuchis said. "For some reason as they started to make plays, we started to fall apart. I can't tell you why that happened."

Pelini said the Huskers tried to make adjustments to slow Gordon "and didn't follow through with them." Gordon broke six runs of 39 yards or longer.

"The thing that was very disappointing was when it got to the second level, plays that in my opinion should have been an 8- or 20-yard gain ended up being 40 or 50," Pelini said.

The defense's issues with Gordon overshadowed a dismal offensive performance. The Huskers committed five turnovers and finished with a season-low 180 yards. Ameer Abdullah, wearing a brace on his sprained left knee, was limited to 69 yards on 18 carries. Tommy Armstrong Jr. was 6 of 18 for 62 yards with an interception.

"There's a lot to play for," offensive coordinator Tim Beck said. "There's still Senior Day coming up against Minnesota, a good football team. You've still got Iowa, the rival, to finish off the year. You've got a chance to be 10-2. That's not something to spit at."

I do admire Bo for saying he has no idea. Truthful. Better than saying we will fix it(heard that over and over and over and over) and then the same result happens.

Papuchis admits he can't tell you why anything happens. When it goes well, he has all the answers, when it goes poorly, he cannot make adjustments.

Then, there is Tim Beck. Tommy Armstrong is not a throwing QB. His form looks good, but it is plain to see, he cannot pass accurately or make the proper reads or something. I say there is a major need for a QB switch. Luckily, Tim Beck is excited for Senior Day.

Isn't Eichorst balls in your Mom's mouth!
-------
On one of the local radio stations where I live, it was mentioned that Callahan could have kept his job had he dumped his DC. He refused. Bye Bye Callahan. If said story is accurate, that is all Eichorst would have to do. Tell Pelini to get rid of coaches A-B-C (oh and Cotton as well) and that would be the scenario where Bo would probably leave.

i just don't know how to answer this. wait and see i guess. another blow out loss this year and he's gone imo. 2 wins, 1 win and 1 close loss and maybe even 2 close losses and he'll be back.

the thing that's annoying is that we have the talent to easily be the best team in the West, but we don't get there because of coaching. At that point changes need to be made and Eichorst needs to see that. I agree with what others have said all over this board though, at this point you can't just change coordinators or assistants, you've got to change the HC.

What's his names DC sucked in every single game. NU has their moments.

Eichorst is an AD, not a football coach. How the hell would he know which assistants to fire? If TO said fire A-B-C, then it would be an educated order. Eichorst is qualified to tell Bo where he can get a good deal on new jerseys.
