I think that's going to far...Giants are bad this year, and apparently didn't make him an offer anyway. Dodgers are going to the playoffs, and he's a Hollywood kind of personality. The guy is trying to live his life, trying to come back from a second TJ surgery after pitching his arm off for us. I'm rooting for him.

I'd like Buster to take him deep too, because I'm a Giants fan...but I want him to do well against every other team.

I'm not wishing bad things on Wilson at all. But, I can't bring myself to wish him good things while in the blue either.

If we were not in last place, I would probably feel a little more charitable with my feelings......lol.....lost season for us, so I will root for him to Save just enough games for the blue to miss the Playoffs by 1 game.

Deal? lol

Not surprisingly, this topic is hot on the Dodger board as well. And, from that, there was a question posed, and I still yet have an answer. Maybe you guys here will know and do better?

Can you think of a player that, after going from the Giants to the Dodgers, that got better? Or that outdid his performance in L.A over S.F?

Fine with me LOL

But he won't be closing. Also, us sucking makes it easier to root for him. If we were fighting it out with the Dodgers you'd kind of have to root for him to fail along with his new team.

I don't think so, from the list you posted. Sal Maglie had nice years in LA after SF but not substantially better than SF, for example.

As far back as I can remember, the minute LA gets them they suck. Therefore, the Dodgers plain suck. QED.

Wilson likely to be the same, unfortunately. Not a lot of success for the few pitchers who try to go after 2 TJ surgeries.

I have been a Giants fan since the mid-80s and I can't think of any......

Sports radio hosts here in LA have already said things like: "We'll, he comes with Giants cancer, but he knows how to get big outs."

Stuff like that is going to make it easy for me to remove the beard from the equation and root against the Dudgers like I have for 3 decades. I have not been to my office yet today, but I can only imagine the stuff I am going to hear about this.....

Henry Schulman is reporting that the Giants did not offer Wilson a deal this week. I know Rags was checking him out at USF . It just goes to show you that when the team wants the fans to get involved in all this Together we are Giants stuff it's only on the surface. MLB is a business , it always comes down to money and you are only as good as your last game or season. The game can be cold but the powers that be in baseball want you to think it's one big happy family. It's going to be weird seeing Wilson in blue. Man... Wilson is a Dodger and this bizzaro baseball year continues.

That is just how it goes in pro sports. It is what have you done for me lately. Just look at football where contracts are not guaranteed. Players on a pedestal one year and gone the next.

If reports are true (and this is a BIG if), the Giants did a SOLID by Weezy by over-seeing his rehab this past year.

He was not under-contract and was even relatively vocal about his displeasure with the club, and they still bent over backwards to get him back in MLB shape.

When "they" say "Giants' cancer", do they mean "winning"?

I wish we could have gotten him back for sentimental reasons, but he may very well be done. It wouldn't be the first time the Dodgers signed a former Giant who was done.
