We could run a 2 qb system like Michigan did last year. Bring TA in for certain packages. I just really want to see how powerful our offense could be with a QB with a accurate arm

Hell to the no.

2 QB systems rarely produce positive results.........

Not to mention, our Offense is one of the most solid veteran units in the country........there is no need to try and revamp it now.

Tommy will play in due time.........until then, a 5th year Senior and 4 year starter is in front of him. That doesn't come around often.

I think a 2qb system can work as along as you know who is your go to qb and the other qb respect this and plays his role

I do think this year this would be a good idea against weaker opponents. Having alil package for Tommie isn't a bad idea. Just a package of 10 plays almost like a tebow in 06 except with passing options.

Plus the last qb to seriously play for Nebraska was zac lee in 09.... I would love for TA to get his feet alil wet now if we could . Plus our offense is loaded why not let him play alittle

I think NU's better off keeping things as stupid as possible for players and coaches to remember.

I mean it isn't like we're gonna hurt tmart pro chances at qb? Why not look to the future and get him ready.

Gotta think worst case scenario if the defense doesn't get back to blackshirts level then the offense has to again carry the team...

You do have a big point if this team was disciplined and mentally strong it would work

I would like to see Tommy Armstrong get lots of mop up duty and I hope he lives up to his recruiting ratings out of high school.

Remember when Kellogg finally got some mop up duty against Minnesota? :burt:

No. We don't develop our backups, we don't even have time to work with our starter. It's just not that important

No. Just no.

I hope to god as soon as games are completely in hand we put in TA and Johnny, but that would not fit the MO of Pelini/Beck.

I wouldn't have him start ahead of tmart. Just have a 10 play playbook to give him in game speed and reaction time down

If you're playing 2 quarterbacks, it means you have zero quarterbacks.

I am not in favor of subbing in anyone until the game is fully out of reach for the opponent.

Taylor is far and away the best QB we have. He's the best dual threat in the country right now.

We have a schedule that should allow for Tommy to get time in the 2nd half of several games.

It is just simply a no-brainer. Run our Offense until we're up 4 scores in the 2nd half........and then put in the backup.

That's the way every successful team has ever done it, and that for damn sure better be the way Pelini does it too.

You don't ever take your most valuable and experienced player out of the game in the thick of things to test the waters with youth. Never ever.

I would honestly like to see Johnny redshirt this year because I think he is the type of guy who wouldn't leave if he was losing the job to Tommy... And would even possibly wait until his senior year to play if Tommy gets a stranglehold on the starting spot.

Yes.....the exact same thing.

I can't claim to be an expert, but I've been watching College Football since my teeth first came in. Successful teams have done things a certain way ever since I can remember.

You just can't take your general off the field and confuse the rest of your team right in the heat of battle.

I think you'll see some serious backlash from the fans and media if Bo continues to leave Taylor in when games are in hand.

I think last year was more about it being Taylor's first year in Beck's offense and wanting to get as many live reps as possible to get him comfortable.

This year there is no excuse not to pull Taylor.

I will absolutely lash out if we're up 4 scores in the 4th quarter and we don't pull Taylor.

That would be horrid coaching. We are in perfect position this season to mold our young buck just the way Nebraska teams of old did it.

would you have done a Tommie/Brook system? If I remember right, TO did not fuck around with a 2qb system back then
