He has 12 INTs through 5 games. On pace for around 38 INTs. Even if he suddenly turns it around and goes back to his career 1.08 INT per game average he would still finish with around 24 INTs. You cannot win games when your QB is turning over the ball this much.

Although I'm not sure how you can bench Eli Manning for Curtis Painter.

Yes, the same Curtis Painter who lost all 9 of his starts with the Colts in 2011.

Sadly although Eli Manning has been horrible the Giants don't have a better option on the bench.

Curtis Painter has thrown a pass in 12 regular season NFL games. He has lost every game he has thrown a pass in. Which includes 9 starts in 2011.

Sadly for the Giants I think Painter is a much worse option.

Yeah but even if you just bench Eli for one game, it sends a message to the team that your jobs are on the line if you don't play better. And it sends the message to Eli that anyone can be replaced if they play poorly.

It might be the spark they need to play better.

Curtis Painter is one of the worst QBs to ever play in the NFL. If they REALLY want the #1 pick overall, yeah. Go with Painter. He did it for the Colts.

I was just about to start disagreeing with you, thinking you were saying benching him would send a bad message to the team.......then I reached your last sentence.

Guys need to be held responsible for their actions and gameplay.

Eli is not to blame... The offensive line, the running game, and the defense has all been awful. Worst in the league or close to it... Eli has to play too agressive, and due to this he makes mistakes... But i do not think any QB, not even his darling brother would make this team into a winning team...
