This is one of my favorite threads. I would like to contribute to it sometime because I had a nice overhand throwing motion in little league, therefore I think I could make some valid points. But alas, I just don't have the time right now. These dresses don't crochet themselves you know......

If you have any extra yarn I wonder if you could whip me up a pair of knee high socks?

Clearly not simply because of Theo Epstein.

Dude probably still can't catch anything and he basically built 3 title teams for the Sox.

He added a couple of nice pieces to Dan Duquette's creation and got far more credit than he deserves for the 2004 title team.

I only "acknowledged" my ability because you were saying lies about me (someone you've never met). Notice no one on this board posts pictures of them from their playing days to somehow substantiate their knowledge of the game. Because it's irrelevant. But I did play and was good. Here's a picture from 2010 of my team winning the league championship. I'm farthest to the left
Fun fact. The guy in this picture, wearing 14 and pretty heavy, who hit second in the lineup and I hit third, just won the DE Male Athlete of the Year award. Here's him with me and then him with Schmitty last night

That dude is pretty big. Did Schmitty offer him some amphetamines?

Unlikely. I remember being in his house (his dad being our coach who played for the Pirates in '86) when we were like 14 and I was smoking a cigarette and gave him one and his dad came down and, well I shouldn't say he beat the shit out of him, but he definitely got physical and was angry. He was a scary motherfucker on the baseball field

There was no "Dooley" on the '86 Pirates...

Yeah, it was easier to exaggerate a little before Baseball Reference

He added a couple of nice pieces to Dan Duquette's creation and got far more credit than he deserves for the 2004 title team.

Bill Mueller, Kevin Millar, Pokey Reese/Bellhorn, Orlando Cabrera (so yes the entire main infield), DAVID ORTIZ, Dave Roberts (I hear he did something important for them),

Curt Schilling, Keith Foulke, Timlin, Embree, Scott Williamson

that's a pretty good chunk of the 04 team.

Duquette did set up a nice core though of Pedro, Manny, Tek, Wake, Lowe and Trot.
