In fairness I think he decided on the throw before T WILL broke free. Regardless it was a bad decision because of the number of defenders on Dez that play. It looks like Romo will have major issues throwing the deep ball until he's comfortable with his back. Until that time the receivers have to stop continuing their deep routes and come back to the QB whenever Romo starts to scramble. Not sure but had Romo seen T WILL and threw it to him the ball never would have got down the field far enough.
Romo had issues with every throw today, not just the deep ball. That was what was the most alarming, but I'm sure the healthier he gets, the better his throws will be.
If Romo had saw TWill it would at least make me feel better knowing he made the right read and the right throw and it also probably wouldn't have been an interception. Romo was making incorrect reads and throwing the ball poorly. I can understand him making some poor throws given his offseason, but him not being 100% is no excuse to make incorrect reads. Maybe if he was a young 24-year old quarterback coming off major surgery and needs all the reps he can get in the offseason and preseason, I could understand. But no, he's a vet. He is old enough and smart enough to know where to go with the football even with a limited offseason or even if an injury is making it hard for him to get the ball where he wants it to go. Making the incorrect read is what made his first two interceptions so bad to me. Missed a potential big play to Williams for a TD on the first pick and missed a wide open Harris for the TD in the endzone.
