Hmmmm, last year 4-0 preseason, 3-13 regular season.

Nope. Doesn't mean much to me if we win in the preseason.

I said no.
Don't care if the team goes 0-4 as long as they are looking at the 2nd half of the roster.

Most teams already know what the top half of the roster is going to be. Important to pick the right players in the 2nd half of the roster. If that takes losing in preseason so be it.

So Losing isn't what matters. 1st team getting back in the swing of things (& staying healthy) & others seeing what they do under the lights before the season starts

Don't care at all. Preseason could not be less relevant in terms of regular season results. Complete crapshoot. Nobody's even trying to win, why should I care

'08 Lions, 4-0 in the Pre-Season. Didn't win again till Week 3.............................................. In 2009!!!

Calvin Johnson hasn't dressed in the first two exhibition games. (Pre-Season opener against Cleveland actually has a title: "The Great Lakes Classic". What a joke!) Hope he doesn't play in the next two either.

It doesn't matter if they win but does anyone really want to see their team lose? It's by no means an indicator of what the regular season will be.

I want my team to be so deep that they win games with the cheerleaders playing.

Well, maybe not the cheerleaders, but my point is in there somewhere.

I don't care. The starters on most decent teams only play a series or two in the first couple of games & don't play at all in the fourth game. The games are mainly an evaluation tool for young players.

I feel like you're more likely to win the Super Bowl if you suck in the preseason.

stay healthy and evaluate. I like to see guys playing hard and winning one on one matchups. If a back up to the 5th string blows an assignment and allows some backups to score a TD, I don't care. If they're seeing how an undrafted rookie that shows promise handles playing with the starters and he blows it and they "1st" team gets scored on, I don't mind so much

I feel like you're more likely to win the Super Bowl if you suck in the preseason.

This is actually a myth. Yes winning in the preseason does not then mean you will win in the season. Obviously many have brought up Detroit going 4-0 and then going 0-16. Last year though 10 of the 12 play off teams had .500 or better records in the preseason. The only 2 that did not were San Diego going 1-3 and Green Bay going 1-3. At the other end Washington went 4-0 this past preseason then obviously finished with the 2nd worst record in the NFL. So you can't read too much into it but to say losing in the preseason usually ends better for a team is just not true.

As for the question I don't care about the wins or losses. I do care how my team wins or loses a bit though. Last preseason I watched the Broncos just get manhandled by the Seahawks. They were out-muscled the whole game. It showed then during the season when we went against teams that got physical with us that we just couldn't handle it. So there are things you can look for in the preseason with individual players and a few other things that can help show maybe just how a team can fare for the year. Obviously we have no clue when or who will be injured (sorry Cardinals fans) so all of that can change the course of a season in a hurry.

This. I'd only add staying healthy.

Im glad someone can smile about that. It took years off my life.
If it makes you feel any better I'm a Rams fan, so it's not like the last decade of Professional football has been a picnic.

No...

It's an evaluation time for the younger players, now granted if they lose I'm hoping there not getting there arses handed to them, that would make me worry a tad...

Bottomline is it's nice to see them on the field again...
