The score doesn't matter. It's about evaluating individual talent to see who can contribute and who can't.
In addition to camp.

Yup.
I think preseason is a better indicator though. I read somewhere that Blaine Gabbert was doing very well in camp.
Hmmmm, last year 4-0 preseason, 3-13 regular season.
Nope. Doesn't mean much to me if we win in the preseason.
'08 Lions, 4-0 in the Pre-Season. Didn't win again till Week 3.............................................. In 2009!!!
Calvin Johnson hasn't dressed in the first two exhibition games. (Pre-Season opener against Cleveland actually has a title: "The Great Lakes Classic". What a joke!) Hope he doesn't play in the next two either.
I feel like you're more likely to win the Super Bowl if you suck in the preseason.
I said no.
Don't care if the team goes 0-4 as long as they are looking at the 2nd half of the roster.
Most teams already know what the top half of the roster is going to be. Important to pick the right players in the 2nd half of the roster. If that takes losing in preseason so be it.
So Losing isn't what matters. 1st team getting back in the swing of things (& staying healthy) & others seeing what they do under the lights before the season starts
If it makes you feel any better I'm a Rams fan, so it's not like the last decade of Professional football has been a picnic.Im glad someone can smile about that. It took years off my life.
