"Just seems to me that the owners have had a set date in their mind this whole time, when they would like to actually negotiate and show the players just a little bit of respect," Stoll told ESPN.com via text message Friday. "And, in the meantime, hoping the players cave, which isn't gonna happen. Now it's gonna get really interesting with what we decide to do. This whole process has been one-sided from the start ... which is why we're at this stage."

Stoll supports a united front...but how many players actually support his side? This isn't like the Andrew Carnegie vs. the Homestead mill strikes where it was life or death...this is all about the rich getting richer...back then it was about putting food on the table every night. I guess my point is that honorable working men have lived and died for the same thing that these millionares are squabbling over today...only not under such honorable circumstances...

How do you measure a future Hall of Famer today against another HOF'er that actually played the games? Should we just assume that Sid, AO, Datsyuk would have improved their already HOF credentials?
