Do the Lions need to consider DE with their #1 pick?

I know some guys on here seem to love the PFF site and the stats they provide.

According to PFF -- the worst pass rushing DE on the Lions was............Ezekial Ansah. He rated below Idonije, Taylor and Young.

On the positive side -- Ansah ranked #1 against the run on not only the Lions, but he was the #1 rookie in the NFL against the run.

Maybe the Lions really are thinking about trading up and not for a WR, but for Clowney, to give them a pass rushing presence on the edge.

Ya, that sight is garbage, run by I don't know who.

Ansah had 8 sacks last year. How many did those other guys have?

Until we get some capable corners, our sack totals (33 last year) will continue to suffer. D lineman can't get to the QB in 1 or 2 seconds.

In all seriousness -- I never thought someone like Clowney was a possibility, but with talks of the Lions wanting to possibly trade up. Maybe he is someone they are targeting.

The Lions love to hold their cards close to the vest and show no interest in their top picks, so maybe they are playing coy and really want to try and trade up for Clowney.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think a QB hurry only counts when it is an incomplete pass or interception.

A hurry doesn't mean it was an incompletion. And Im sure plenty of the hurries that DumbDumb and Israel forced wound up being first downs against corners and a few more were probably huge gains on check downs that burnt Tully, cuz he blows in coverage.
