Someone at work told me about this article today. If it's true what Jacobs said to the rep from Winnipeg, I'm not sure I want to continue to support and cheer for a team that's owned by the biggest fucking horses ass bully alive. I'm so ashamed to even call myself a Bruins fan knowing the owner of the team I cheer for has single handedly been responsible for these past 2 lockouts (and I'm sure the past 5). There are 4 teams I'm considering switching my allegiance to, those teams being Buffalo, Detroit, Philadelphia and St. Louis. Maybe Colorado. Why the fuck did Mark David Chapman have to kill John Lennon for when there was the worlds biggest douchebag right there for the taking!!!!

What article?

Haggerty: Jacobs should be held responsible
and that's from a Boston reporter.

Winnipeg Jets representation at a recent NHL Board of Governors meeting piped up to say it was opposed to engaging in a long, bloody lockout sure to stymie their franchise’s momentum and hurt the game of hockey.

It wasn’t Winnipeg owner Mark Chipman, but rather one of the alternate governors representing the Jets.

Bruins Principal Owner and Chairman of the Board of Governors Jeremy Jacobs answered by reprimanding the Winnipeg representative as one of the “new kids on the block” and informed him that he would know when he was allowed to speak in the NHL board room.

...

But even in the midst of his greatest moment as an NHL owner, Jacobs proved tone deaf. He couldn’t help but needle Bruins President Cam Neely during the team's championship parade for never winning his own Cup as a player. It was a cringe-worthy moment on a day that should have featured wall-to-wall grins, and it gave Bruins fans a chance to remember why they held Jacobs in contempt for so long.

You act like this is a hard decision. Your owner is a Jackass to put it mildly. To bad Neely didn't clock his sorry ass.

Oh, and by the way... only one of those teams had Gordie Howe.

Makes it obvious to me.

It is a hard decision to be honest. Not because of the owner but I became a Bruins fan when Bobby Orr came to town and, before that sorry cocksucker even owned the team, and you all know how I feel about Orr. I stood by them through thick and thin, even as they lost the cup multiple times, but now I feel betrayed knowing Jacobs has done whatever he could to destroy the game we all love in the name of the all mighty dollar (even that fake Canadian stuff :D). I knew about his ribbing Cam but we had just won the cup and the euphoria was fresh. So come on peeps, tell me why I should root for your team. Philly and Buffalo are current front runners but where there are so many really cool fans on here, I'm open to suggestions aka bribery (SF may have a leg up on you guys there )

All those teams have some history. Glenn Hall played for St. Louis, Parent in Philly, and how can we rule out the french Connection?

Bullying Jacobs personally responsible for lockout?
Though Winnipeg has since denied the exchange took place, the story created headlines. [Jets] representation at a recent NHL Board of Governors meeting piped up to say it was opposed to engaging in a long, bloody lockout sure to stymie their franchise's momentum and hurt the game of hockey. ... [Jeremy Jacobs] answered by reprimanding the Winnipeg representative as one of the "new kids on the block" and informed him that he would know when he was allowed to speak in the NHL board room. That's the kind of hawkish, dismissive, bully mentality that's driving the bus for the NHL lockout that's now cancelled games through the middle of December. It's also the reason why Bruins fans should hold Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs personally responsible.

And yes,Ed Snider has had issues with this asshole.

I wish snider would take the gloves off already and threaten to not televise any nhl games during the contract term the NHL signed with NBC. This shit is getting ridiculous. Jacobs needs to be de-throned and quick.
