Try finding my footbalers there using Siri/Google, it can't be done.

We have a cornerback....who?

We have a 400m cat who sent a video of himself to Al Davis.

We have a stud cornrback who was converted to a RB as a pro,

We have a 1000 yard rusher.

We have a Heisman winner.

A world class hurdler.

Siri/Google totally useless in this.
Did you really just try to claim you know more than google and siri?

So I read up on FAT (fully automated or automatic times) and it makes all of the hand times and also historic supposed FAT obsolete and inaccurate.

The standard used is that hand held times add a 0.24 but many reviewed historical examples show hand held times have errors of up to or even over 0.6 seconds (some examples had over 1 second of error) and essentially always were timed faster, not slower.

The FAT technology, though used as far back as the 1928, was not considered fully accurate until 1992. Uses of FAT before 1992 would not be considered realistic because they do not meet the today's criteria. Even many of today's systems used, such as Sprint 8 or Time Machine, do not meet the criteria and therefore cannot be used on a professional level.

Today's criteria:
1. The FAT timing device must be activated automatically by a start signal, rather than manually (e.g., like with a stopwatch or a computer key stroke).
2. The finish time must also be captured digitally (picture or video) to remove any human error or delays from the equation.
3. Most importantly, the finish line results must be accurate to at least 1/100th of a second.

So basically historical numbers shouldn't be used as a basis of comparison as they could possibly be way off from reality.

Track surfaces are the real big deal, running a 10.06 on a shoddy dirt track over 50 years ago like Bullet Bob did is still the superior time for an NFL player. That track surface trumps what Trindon Holliday ran 10.00.

Jim Hines
John Carlos
Steve Williams....in the stands for this one
Charlie Green
Willie McGee
Harry Jerome

.....all ran the 100 yard hand timed 100 yards in 9.1. Hayes 10,06, Hines 10,02, Greene 10.03, Williams 10.07 for 100m electro, so very realistic to think a 9.1 is a 10.05ish.

I go with that, go with....

9.1 10.05
9.2 10.15
9.3 10.25
9.4 10.35

The huge difference between back in the day and today is the track surfaces. I ran on dirt back in the 60;s, a totally different deal than these tracks now, totally different.

It takes speed endurance not endurance, Skippy. It's over in 10 seconds. Go read the definition of endurance.

But he's not speed endurance fast. Take him out to pasture and shoot him.

You gotta be kidding, hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why this need to ignore who these NFL athletes really are?

You need to stay simple, why?

Did ya know Ezekial Elliott was a Missouri State hurdles champion?
I noticed a little form issue on his starts the week before and gave him some advice to tweak his angle just a drop which increased his acceleration. He also won the 100M and 200M. Here is the pic I took that day.

He was a stand out in Missouri, wouldn't make the finals in Cali/Texas/Florida in the sprints. Maybe the hurdles.

Todd Gurley was a stud HS hurdler, more accomplished than Elliott.

This is a textbook case demonstrating how an OP can hijack his own thread........ :L

I have two threads here with over 1k posts, think I got how it works.

Generate action, the bottom line.

If that is your line of thinking, then you don't know what you don't know. There is a long history of making fun of people in threads that go on forever on here...

That would only be true if you owned the site and benefited from the clicks. Maybe you do. I wouldn't know...

Jarntt, Thank God you're here. Some idiot has been trying to talk track and we need our track guru.
Last question he posted was how many hairs on Metcalf's left nut. He has much knowledge on that subject - but is that even a track question?
