I promise you'll never see me draft Elway. I drafted Irvin cuz he was a great receiver and a winner, Elway on the other hand...

I grew up a Broncos fan (born in Boulder, lived in Denver for 7yrs)watching Elway play and loved him. Always wanted to draft him but he gets little love in these drafts.

He gets too much love, he has some of the worst performances in Super Bowl history yet all anyone remembers is the Broncos winning 2 in a row before he retired. The Broncos won 2 in a row because of well someone else as I don't wanna name drop! He went 7 years during his prime without throwing 20 TD's in a season. He threw as many INT's and TD's 5 times in his career and came damn close a couple other times. Dan Reeves sucked but Elway is probably the most overrated player in NFL history ahead of Lynn Swann and Joe Namath.

He was not terribly accurate, and if you look at his career, he has great numbers, but he does not really have an elite season, just a lot of good/ok ones. He is Stafford before Stafford
