Defense has stepped it up knowing they would need to carry this game.

Again, surprisingly clean, surprisingly even game so far.

Solid effort by the Bronks, but for the dropped passes, they certainly deserved the win.

Win or lose I still had the same sentiment before & after the game... Winner HAS to go kick the shit out of the Patsies in the AFCCG!!!

I'm pretty old so when I lived there from '63-69, not exactly a lot to cheer for. Went to Greensburg to HS and after I left for college my parents lived in Beaver Falls/New Brighton. I still like the Steelers, but my bro-in-laws give me too much crap when the Steelers beat the Broncos, so that doesn't excatly endear me to the team.

Hats off to the Broncos…hope they are able to represent the AFC.

Tough way to end it…good to see a clean well played game on both sides. One mistake really was the difference, but I can’t lay it all on Touisant and glad to see that Ben publicily supported the kid. There were plays to be made and they just weren’t made. Really proud of this DEF…short field, after short field they defended to keep the game close.

3 min, with 3 TOs…I thought they would have a shot @ OT, but OL break downs at the end were in part to great coverage down field…they did miss AB in this game.

Season Grades

Overall…B…10-6, 6th seed, 1-1, DIV 3-3, NON DIV 6-3

Getting swept by BAL puts a damper on a good season.

HC…B, lost 3 key starters, in Pouncey, Bell, & Beachum as well Ben for 4 games,winning a playoff game with 3rd and 4th string RBs… this might have been Tomlin’s best coaching job in his tenure in PIT...clinging to Blake too long, and the BAL losses take something away, but solid B.

OC…B, 4th highest scoring team. Granted, he has a lot of tools on that side of the ball, but 2-2 w/o Ben and all of the key losses were on his side of the ball…great job. What knocks him from an A…too predictable in the BAL games…the low out in the 2nd game really disappointed after averaging 30+ for 5 or 6 weeks consecutive.

DC…A, 11th in scoring DEF. We all felt the DEF needed to take a big step and they took a huge step imo from week 1 to week 17 and imo, they really controlled both playoff games. They were the catalyst of the team at the end of the season…Clearly not a complete body of work, the backend of the DEF istill very m uch a work in progress. After losing perhaps the most talented CB, replacing him with a 2 yr rookie essentially off the waiver wire, getting by with a gutsy, but limited skillset CB3 in Blake and a journeyman FS at the end of his career….Butler deserves the top grade.

ST…C+…replaced FG kicker, Berry has the leg…looks like he will stick…return game needs work. Jones was probably worse than Archer, and Wheaton needs to be taken off returning punts.
